You should try a HS1 there not as bad as you think infact I've not seen a light that can compare on both quality and yield.

What company sells them n where would I find par readings for them, and I don't doubt they are good I've heard sum ppl like them better than mars but I just like the lite i have it's on top of the commercial scene plus these guys grow plant like us all day so I kno their lites are canna specific spectrum but if the hs1 is cheap than maybe I'll try out but these amares are top shelf rite now and cobs are the way forward but in no way am I bashing cause as long as we all get the results we want it's all good

Just curious Tang, if you were starting 12 plants at a time would you still put 12 HS1s in one room or 3-6 larger panels? I looked for a long time recently and the only option I saw was the SPYDR 1200 LED for replacing my 1000w HPS with a single fixture. Just curious how you would go about this as I want to get one of my rooms converted to LED before summer. Also I considered getting an HS1 just to try it out in a closet but sadly it's not compatible with U.S. voltage, what would you use if the HS1s weren't available? Thanks for any input, and great bud porn as usual!

Similar design to Grownortherns last gen light the MS0006 I was getting good results with them say 200-250g from a 180w light.......these Grownorthern HS1s on the other hand are a different ball game completely, I'm running 3 in my 1.2x1.2m room and in getting 600g+ every 80 days from 225w....I did run 2 in there for a bit and got 390g from 150w on my first go with them. Dutch Passion sell these light too so you know there quality (I'm sounding like a sales man...DISCLAIMER I don't work for GN or DP lol)
PAR is irellivent unless it's comparing 2 lights with the exact same spectrum as some spectrums are more affective than others.

There are a few using these lights in this section have a look round you will be impressed I'm sure.

More the merrier bro,I love the flexibility of more lights like the way you can use different angles and heights,you could also use some for side lighting.

Thanks for the input, I'll definitely consider a larger number of panels for the versatility. I've become very discouraged about LEDs as no one will give you a straight answer, or simply that the answer doesn't exist as the tech is too new. The formula is easy with SE HPS, hortilux eye+solis-tek ballast+blockbuster 6' aircooled=best setup, wish it was that easy with LEDs.

Jeez, I hope you will slap on the factor 50 sunblock when opening the grow room? Damn thing has a UVB tube as well! Seems like Amare (type into any reasonable search engine.) are jumping on this UVB bandwagon...............................yeah, Ok if you are growing known landrace varieties which come from the tropic's! Most new generation Autoflowers have been bred without this factor!

Also, at $1145/£760 a pop? Weighing 33lbs/15Kg each, there seems to be a lot of Chinese 'Pig Iron' included?
