Outdoor Swans Fruity UK Outdoor Second Grow

Well here's to show how much I've taken my eye off the ball.

A nice plump bud from pineapple express that was looking lush and green just a few days ago...

I checked it this evening and the whole cola is riddled with rot....

Damn, that shows how quickly the mould can manifest. Was this mould on a plant in the ground still, or a plant that was in the process of being dried?

I find it helps to remove most of the fan leaves, at least on the main coala, in the last week or two. I have even trimmed most of the leaves off with scissors (including small leaves), and left the plant in the ground to finish off for the last week, when it has been particularly wet, or humid. It definitely helps with airflow. I did this for my autos last summer when it was ridiculously wet, and the trimmed ones did much better against the mould than the ones that had their leaves on still.

Also, Pineapple Express isn't known for it's mould resistance. I bet if you had a Critical+ 2.0 auto or Moby Dick XXL for instance, you wouldn't have that issue. At least not to the same extent. Sorry to hear about it. I guess it's the luck of the draw when using exotic strains, and what with our typical wet, humid English summers...

This was a plant still outside (in pots).
Yep I took my eye off the ball big time and some complacency slipped in too for sure.
Live and learn hey!

I've got milky trichomes throughout and the odd amber so I plan to chop trim and sort all 3 plants tonight. I'll have to be very careful not to infect good buds with the spores from the bad buds.

Cheers

Here's a very quick update as life has been busy.

All at day 101!

Barneys Pineapple Express has had a little hair cut, I took off the top buds. Still having to pick mold off her but trying to let her go longer as she's still putting on bulk.

Stitches Love potion, again have done some selective harvest. She's closer to ready, will take her all at the weekend as she seems to have stopped.

Dutch Passion Autocompassion Lime, looking like she's gonna be a big yielder, her structure is crazy where I've bent and twisted and folded her....

She's massive compared to the other two as you can see here. Oh and the little pancake baby at the front is Autocompassion Lime V2 which will give a comparison..

My Blueberry I chopped. The buds never developed properly and she was tiny.....

This is what came off her...

The Pineapple, Love Potion and Blueberry that I harvested went in brown bags and took 9 days to dry enough to jar up as it's been warm, wet and humid

We had visitors all weekend and with the rain pelting down I dumped the girls in the shed for about 36hrs.

Everyone was gone last night so I harvested around 2/3 off Stitches Love Potion. Her buds aren't huge but they are a nice shape, compact and hard with a touch or orange and red on the leaves. Actually there was very little trimming to do on her buds so it was quite a quick job.

Still battling mold spots but she's throwing out white pistils still and the buds aren't very dense so I've taken off a few to create some room for better airflow and light. Its just a case of keeping an eye and cherry picking what looks ready or what is being hit by mold.

Thanks mate.

It was quite late at night and I needed something to take pics against and stumbled across the image in our back room junk so looks like that will be my picture theme during harvest for this year!
