Hello!
Just an intro because I can't find the "intro" thread -
My first grow was around this time last year - but I've held off on posting anything til now as I'm doing a 2nd grow now a year later which I'll track/post about separately. Macro photography is a hobby of mine so hope you guys don't mind some up-close bud shots and trichome shots.
This was my first grow and just for me as a light smoker. I've still got most of the yields left! So don't blame me for having low yields and making some newbie mistakes - I've got more than i know what to do with!
So anyway here goes:
Strains: Purple Ryder and Little Cheese Auto. I attempted to grow 2 of each. My pictures will be numbered.
I'm not sure the name is correct on Purple Ryder, but the supplier's website where I got the seeds from said it was bred by Mossy. I would love it if someone could tag this breeder in this thread as I think I have some nice eye candy photos for this strain!
Germination date: 19 Sept 2015 (nearly a year ago)
Harvest Dates: Purple Ryder-02 December (day 74'ish). Little Cheese-13 December (day 85'ish)
Location: Gauteng province, South Africa.
Climate: Subtropical Highland. Essentially we have cool sunny winters. Spring starts right about now (August-September) and temperatures peak around 20-25C in daytime. Low humidity. Rains daily from late spring through summer, but for this grow there was a severe drought/no rain.
Indoor/Outdoor grow: Ya, this was my first grow. I chose both! I let the sun do it's work every day and brought the plants in at night and let some artificial lights do some more work on them every day from 6pm-10pm.
Pots/substrate: I made the mistake of choosing small'ish pots @ about 1.5 gallons. Oh well, it kept the plants small like how I wanted. I used coco peat 70% + vermiculite 15% and perlite 15%.
I have about 80 decent photos to share that span the entire grow, so I hope people don't mind if I start by just leaving a fun one and some of the first few and post the rest of my grow over the next few days since it's late and time to turn in!!
Cheers,
Loam
One of my better pics of the bunch: 29 October '15 (day 40) Purple Ryder specimen [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]
22 Sept '15 (day 3): Purple Ryder [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] not quite out of her shell (don't worry, she came right!)
22 Sept '15 (day 3): Little Cheese [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]
