Edit: Hoping to get the attention of @Mossy with the pictures- this Purple Ryder was my first grow and I still have quite a bit of it left even a year later -it's too special to use up quickly. This grow was SUCH fun and I'll remember it forever!!! Thanks Mossy!!!!

Might as well post the next several weeks' worth of photos from this grow.
First - by the 19th of October 2015 (about 1 month in) one of the Purple Ryders (Does this one also go by the name "Mossy's Gem"??) really was getting photogenic.
I definitely have 2 pheno's going on between these two Purple Ryders. You'll see the difference below.


Then I also did my best over time to show growth by taking the same picture every day. Ignore that I labelled them tomatoes Just a safety precaution!
These photos show the 18th, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 29th of October and 2nd of November and just how amazingly quickly bud growth happens. (If I remember correctly, the Cheese maxed out at about 40cm, the Purple Ryders on either side @ about 29cm)


Now the 3 plants' buds from 26 October 2015 (about day 35 from popping)...the difference between the two pheno's is amazing.
Purple Ryder 1, then Purple Ryder 2, then Little Cheese.

I'm gonna focus these next pictures on just my Purple pheno of my 2x Purple Ryders....some Trichome and Bud shots.

Time to Wrap This Up!!! For those of you reading, is it best practice to review the strain's smoke/effects in the grow journal or post a separate thread?

So... the most terrible thing happened just a couple weeks before harvest. On 16 November, a freak hailstorm came and did some SERIOUS damage to my 3 plants.
Within days, the green pheno of the Purple Ryder started fluffing out...I ended up composting her.
The Little Cheese survived intact but lost all of its fan leaves. The purple pheno of the Purple Ryder survived intact the most...i think due to its maturity and compact cola.

Pictured here 2 weeks after the hailstorm...the plants aren't in the best shape but the purple Purple Ryder (right side) pulled through well.


So on 2 December (around day 74 depending on how you do the math) I decided to harvest the purple ryder [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] and chuck the other one.
Pics are pretty self-explanatory...very low harvest but works for me!! (no idea how much a gram/ounce is so hopefully the tape measure will give a good indication of yield).


On 13 December (Day 85) I harvested the Little Cheese.

Overall and final thoughts:
1. Coco seemed very easy for this grow...didn't really encounter problems even though I had never grown before!
2. I fed very lightly...only feeding lightly every other water. (about one feed per week once in flowering).
3. Sunlight only in early spring (less than 9 hours/day direct light) may have affected the size, although I think the Purple Ryders were only supposed to get to 30cm anyway.
4. Hail definitely screws with your plant...(duh)
