Indoor Sour D in Rockwool / CBD in Super Soil

Trying my luck with growing in a rockwool cube. After seeing some of the AFN growers having good success, I figured why not give it a shot. I'll be growing a Seed Stockers Sour Desiel Auto in a 8x8 Pargro quick drain cube using General Hydro MaxiGro and MaxiBloom.

And on the opposite side of the tracks...

I'm growing in Michigan Made Mix super soil as I have done on past grows but I added some DynoMycos to the pot. Going with fresh soil and minimal ammendmets to try and keep this as "clean" as I can considering I'll be growing a Fastbuds 20:1 CBD.

I also intend on growing a Growers Choice Blueberry Dream in super soil, if it ever shows up that is.

I soaked the beans for about 18 hours in rain water and direct planted them in there final homes. After about 2 days, the Sour D and the CBD have sprouted and are ready to rock.

Doing well I think considering it's my first try using rockwool. 3rd and 4th nodes are forming and no signs of stress.

Leaves are looking a bit funky. I'm wondering if the soil is too hot. I let her go to see if it snaps out of it. I might just pop another seed in and keep the stronger of the 2.

Seed Stockers - Blackberry Gum - Day 6
I'm a little sad that I couldn't get my blueberries to pop. A lot of my stash is kush based so I really wanted something a bit fruity. It was either the blackberry or the Serbet. I went with this one based on a coin flip. Doing well so far and already looks better than the CBD despite being in the same soil mix.

Yo D - FWIW the few CBD plants I have grown all had some weird leaf formation at some point. I haven't grown that one though. What's your soil mix?

Thanks for the info. The soil is a preamended peat mix with Dynomyco's added. First time really using the Dyno but my soil has done well for me so far although I've heard it could be too much for some. I figured that despite the weird leaves, it's still green and growing so I'll just roll with it.

After a long debate with myself I threw down the Sour Diesel and Blackberry Gum this round. I'll be growing at least one Seed Stockers from now on.

She's trucking along and looking good. I'm upping the pH a little at a time per some stuff I read. Slowly upping the EC as well. The cube stays pretty wet and started growing some funk so I broke down and just ordered some mats. They were fairly expensive but reusable I guess but i got more than I'll ever need.

Seed Stockers - Sour Diesel - Day 19
I'm trying to slowly setup a makeshift automated system for this thing. I mean if you're going to go Hydro, F'n do it. So it's kind of a drip/ebb and flow setup I guess. I have a RainPoint wifi pump/timer setup to send 30sec worth of feed once every hour to a floraflex plate set on top of the 6x6 rockwool cube. The run off slowly drains out of the catch pan and back into the qt. of the Maxigro water where I have an air stone. I think maintaining pH is going to be my downfall but I'm generally in the tent 1 or 2 tines a day. The test will be when I go away for work for a couple days.

It's all about learning and progression.

Growing out of her leaf funk and the new growth looks like it should (green and uniform). I think the soil was a bit hit and she is a bit more sensitive. I trimmed the funky old growth and I'll leave her be (I typically top my plants).
