I looked at her trichomes today. There are still a lot of clears and quite a few ambers. If the ambers keep multiplying and she won't go full cloudy, I'll chop her this weekend.
There's at least 5% amber and 10% clear trichomes, but the rest are cloudy. I checked with CanopyQueen505 (IG) and she assured me it's done. Aside from the clear trichomes she certainly looks done.
I just submerged the entire plant in 95% ethyl alcohol. In a couple of hours it'll go into my double boiler and by tonight I'll be sampling some gnarly hash oil-infused weed.
Here's my experience report:
Great high! Moderate but steady euphoria, complete cessation of all worry and nervous energy, deep relaxation in the area of the eyes and forehead. Pleasant, relaxing buzz. Reminiscent of codeine. Great for social settings and especially for unwinding. It seems to wear off too quickly, but maybe that's just perspective because it's naturally moreish.
I had to smoke a little more flower than normal because half of the cannabinoids are CBD. So it's going to take more, but that's to be expected, because this is really a medical strain. But I extracted the plant's soluble parts into a bottle of Everclear and boiled it down into something I can mix with the flower. It's still drying so I don't yet know the weight, but I'm really pleased with the yield.
I already smoked some though, and I'm happy to report it's awesome! Just like the flower, but much, much stronger!
In conclusion, though not really, with its 50:50 ratio of CBD to THC and its amazing terpene profile, it's a great medicinal strain and great for some quality relaxation.
Today, I smoked some Kym's Sweater hash oil on top of Purple Canyon and that's really the pinnacle in pushing my opiate button.
