Lighting Quantum board thread.

I was dealing with a lady called Rita. I would also recommend looking on their Facebook page, I found a good deal there :)
Awesome, thanks! They are having a bit of a discount + bonus items sale in June!

I am posting here just to give other members some heads up about Meijiu since I recommended them a lot.

I have a V1 board bought less than a year ago. 16 diodes are not lighting up. This is my SECOND board with problems!

They refunded me my first board BUT I am waiting on a reply on my second board. Since this is my second board with issues, they are trying to make things difficult for me i.e make me ship the board back! Let me note that the fact that 2 out of 3 boards has bad diodes only proves that they have a quality issue. I should not be penalized for that.

No reason why my first board was refunded but the second one cannot. Exact same case. In fact, cheaper board. Lets see.

Before I get a confirmation that they will stand behind their product, I suggest staying away from their products! Unless you want the below to happen

Meijiu V1 board with an entire string dimmed

Then they all went out

Meijiu V2 board. Just one diode gone bad. Was refunded for the board only

Shit happens with any product from any company. Important thing is they stand behind their product when shit happens. I suggest anyone planning a purchase to wait till I can confirm they stand by their product. Otherwise, please don't quote me in the future.

Please note that a refund is their choice. They prefer not to replace for some reason.

I deal with Rita and all was great UNTIL i had this problem. Without even asking her boss, she hinted that I may need to ship the board back. I was furious because this is a hint that she feels I'm lying. I did not give them my business and recommended them on AFN just to cheat a 90 dollar board!

Meijiu is now shady in my eyes until they do the right thing! Rita is not that hot to me now too lol!

And...Ive read on other forums that there are many such cases. Meijiu usually try to give you a standard 20 dollar compensation to shut you up. Don't fall for that for anyone who has purchased.

This post will become a thread depending on the reply Rita gives me soon. I won't have my dear AFNers buy faulty lights under my recommendation!

Thanks for the feedback mate. I've been also looking at the KINGBRITE lights, prices are fairly comparable, I feel like KINGBRITE might be a slightly better product, but higher price.

Meiju slightly lower price bur maybe not as good quality.

Again this is all just speculation. I don't know what to do!

Well to be fair, its only my side of the story. You can show them my pics and let them give you a written guarantee that they will replace/refund if its defective. That is, if you really need what they sell.

A string of diodes means I lose 7W when run max. 3.5W at my settings. Its not really a big deal but shows you the character of a company. Also, the same board is cheaper to replace now than some branded nutes. So its also not about the money.

First of all, they need to know we are united so they won't play such dirty games no more. Warranties would be standard and across the board instead of case to case basis, seeing who they can scam?

Second, I recommended them a TON in the past and don't want other members blaming me for their faulty purchase.

Also, Kingbrite specializes in cobs and entered the QB market later than others. So not sure about the quality and experience of their PCB capabilities. Have not made any purchases from them.

I do like Russell from R2T. My opinion of him has not changed.

Yeah that's the problem with CH companies it all good and gravy until some problems come.. They common thing is to ask you for sending back faul products and it's always at you expense ,and for US in eu that isn't cheap and changes low price of bought product,to not so low price..plus all the spent time for sending it back and all procedures tied with that..This is the risk we MUST consider when buying from CH..
I had that problem with cellphone..

I have spoken to Kingbrite a little bit and while their product might seem fancier, they are not as "nice" to communicate with.

Price is on par, or just a little more expensive for comparable products.

I'm aware that all products can have issues- my original "Greenfingers" branded 1000w blurple light blew up straight out of the box in testing in my office! Didn't even get to see the inside of the tent.

This was through a reseller on eBay who offered a full refund and paid for the return shipping.

I guess I’ll find out if I end up with the same issues/faulty diodes. So far, all is good. Granted, I run my boards at barely 150watt
