Indoor Project Green Thumb

my respects moondude. your first grows look just great. growing can easily become an obsession, so take care :D

Hey Fellas,

Do you think there is any point is cropping the top half of this plant and growing out the buds on the bottom? Pic below.

I would really like to hang the entire plant, my first finished plant, to dry.

I did read if you are curing, it can make the effect of the buds more energetic if harvested a little early? One argument to hang at once?

First grow why not see what they do natural before you start learning cropping, topping, and training ?

The best and smoothest smoke IMHO is cutting (at the right time of day) and hanging the whole plant. Then curing.

Cloudy and no amber is more energetic than going 25% - 30% amber.

More amber = more couchlock to a point. Go too far amber and everything can degrade.

Proper curing after drying is what brings out flavor and smoothness either way.

THIS IS GREAT INFORMATION!!!

Because of my fatal attraction to growing, I have already purchased a Carson digital microscope. Will hook it up today. With MS fatigue and picture day the other day and tent rotation (teens promoted to big tent), and seedlings to veg tent, I have put this off.

I am like a new mom bringing home a baby approaching the end of the fourth quarter in regards to knowing when to start the 10-day no nute feeding?

From trial and error, I am finding that no nute feed does not mean exlude CalMag with no-nute feed with RO?? I did give a RO water no-nute feed with no CalMag a go with Tutankhamon two days ago and many of the leaves, sugar leaves included, got VERY sick???

  • Started germination of substitutes for failed/damaged germs for round 4: Kush van Stich, Critical Neville's Haze.
05/03/16
  • Moved round four to the veg tent
  • Moved round 2 to the flower tent
  • Picture day
  • Round 4 still look week from heat crisis in germ dome

  • Tutankhamon is looking like she is on the home stretch. Still on flush. Did start adding Cal-Mag to RO during flush; she was dying quick and ugly with-out Cal-Mag in RO water?
  • Big Low joined her today with early home stretch signs.
  • Six Shooters are both showing small early signs of home stretch. MONSTERS!!! One Double Barrel.
  • Green-o-Matic is finally starting to fill in flowers.
  • Tutankhamon #2 (round 2) is frosty already; 45 days. Looking like she is going to out perform predecessor.
  • Roadrunners from round #3 are panning out exactly as expected, running fast. These are basically toy plants in my humble opinion....

Never have smoked cured Cal mag myself so I just gotta ask.... you still going to flush completely right prior to harvest ?

Never have smoked cured Cal mag myself so I just gotta ask.... you still going to flush completely right prior to harvest ?

I have looked all over for an answer to this buddy.

I have RO water, other types water being used for flushing have secondary minerals? When I first started flushing RO with no calmag even my sugar leaves instantly started showing severe magnesium deficiency, UGLY; up to and including some of the sugar leaves. Is this just the way it is?
