Nutrients Prescription Blend Grows SweetSeeds in AutoPots - Test by Only1Sky

@Waira I like your description of the reaction better then mine, sounds more interesting coming from you. From my experience the Mg2+ (and other ions) acts as a catalyst.

The end product is amorphous silica with random connections and lattice structure not a repeated pattern. I don’t want to side track this thread to far from Only1sky’s grow but send a message and let me know if you had other questions!

:crying: chemistry = sex! :woohoo1:it's all about the right energy for the hook-up to happen, bay-bee- :pimp::rofl: ... Now if my prof's in the past could have just related it this way, we all woulda got A's!
.... I remind myself now just how powerfully electronegative O- is, small wonder it can joust a mere hydroxide group off that Si,...
Yup, it is what it looks like,...amorphous glop!
Will do on the questions and info my friend,... I doubt 'Sky minds though,...? :rolleyes2:

@Waira and @Prescription Blend -- these "technical" discussions are in no way a distraction or side-tracking of this thread. I welcome it, as I'm sure others do too. This thread is about getting acquainted with, and understanding nuances of, the Prescription Blend line. That absolutely necessitates commentary about the chemistry of the grow. And is important given the number of variables and styles encountered in growing. Keep it up guys.

Now to answer directly a few questions you've asked;

The light (Amare SE450UVB) is at 19" above the canopy of the plant.

My water is from a quality Reverse Osmosis system I installed. It serves household drinking water, ice, and my grow operations. I did some TDS testing a couple of days ago. The RO water is a 3 to 4 before adding anything. After mixing up Prescription Blend (in the proper order !!) it reads 824 -- thats with all six ingredients at the week 1 Flowering formula. My sickly plant is not yet in bloom, so her feed is minus the Big Data. So those five nutrients start out at TDS 780, but then I boosted the mix stronger, and it then came out to 1110.

Can't speak about pH of the liquids as I have fried (or rather, dried out my pH unit). Need to get a replacement sensor. But I have checked the pH of the soil (which is mostly coco). I took several readings, and they range from 6.6 to 6.7

Its been three days now of foliar spray with diluted Kelp-ful, Ca-Mg and Optic Foliar's Transport. She got 1 liter of PB boosted mix on Thursday, and then 2 liters today. I think she is responding well. The spotting seen on 2 lower leaves has not progressed any further. And think (maybe) the overall color of the plant's leaves may be a little less pale. See photos on next post.

Cheers mates.

TrainWreck & Jack 47 at Day 28
Continuing with the log of the other 4 Sweet Sweet plants in this comparison grow. Its day 28 and they been on their AutoPot PB and Greenleaf reservoirs now for 9 days. No fouling or issues with either of the reservoirs or lines. All plants seem quite happy, There are obvious differences in height and structure, which is to be expected with the variation seem among autoflower phenos. PB is the purple tag, Greenleaf is the red tag.
Here's the two Jack47 plants.

:jointman: T'anks mon! I was telling PB how great it is to have a knowledgeable and engaged nute rep' here for a change- I've had a couple brow lifters already!
Amare is a potent light... I recall A-Train loved his, and he grew stunning bud with it! Maybe tuck the light up another 4" Sky, and see if they do a little better just so; might need daily adjusting they way they're growing now... Funny how it's the shorter KKa that's showing the margin teeth curling most -
KK photo was one of the most lovely plants I have grown to date, such nice symmetry and not a bit of LST either,... bud and smoke were tops a expected...KK1.jpg KK2.jpg
>>> J47's hardly blinked over that topping! I'm looking forward to seeing them in full glory Sky, so few even look their way anymore... Thanks to that photo Comp' of Sweet's, I too picked up some juicy bits including the J47 F1FV which I can't wait to run, ditto for Ice Cool! (have you tried the auto IC? very good!)... Red Mandarine F1FV is first though. their new 2020 catalog is up now, and some fantastic stuff!
TW's looking great too; interesting frame differences happening now....

@Waira - nice to hear of your prior experience with Killer Kush. This will be my 1st run with them, but not my last. I've currently got Auto seeds for 16 different strains from Sweet Seeds -- won lots of prizes in their past photo contests  , but I'm sorry to say that Ice Cool is not one of them. I just read the description -- I can't believe I missed it. It sounds like one that would become an instant favorite.

Just for amusement's sake, here's a photo of my reservoir floc previously described. This is from October 2018, and was a mix of mostly Greenleaf nutrients with supplemental cal-mag. This was an extreme that has not occurred since, although clogs in my feed lines from reservoir sediment coming out of solution have been a repeating problem (But not this grow yet, thank goodness.)
