whats your opinion on doubling fans on top of each other? i don't see there being any problems

Hey durpoi, I can't find the link, it's been a while since I read it, but I found an article somewhere a while back about doubling up the fans and the facts at the end of the day were that one would just cancel the other out or worst case, they'll "choke" each other. Don't ask me to get into the science please, but it's pretty simple when you boil it down. Do a google on it and I'm sure you'll find something.

please man get some one to check your wiring it looks bloody dangerous , im sorry i dont mean to bring you down but ive studied yr pics an its a shambles , i know im gonna get ragged on here but im an electrician an that just looks like youve twisted half the wires together in stead of using terminals or cramps , ive seen some terrible fires as a direct result of dodgy wiring, nice idea but needs a mark two

Hey unzie,everything has been doubled checked and tested. And i did just pig tail the two wires with electrical tape, but it was just to test that everything was working. I will be using heavy duty butt splices before its up and running. thanks for your concern tho

It looks like you removed the base or the bulb to gain some vertical height. I can't tell from the pictures but if you have the room for your wiring and the starting caps you might try mounting the light assembly directly to the top of the case to gain 2 to 3 inches more and raise your plants to the lights when you need to. Thanx unzie for trying to look out for someone on AFN and I would never hesitate to mention safety concerns. durpoi i'm guessing from the bulb mods and the colors of the tape you had you know something about electrical work. Yeah drjkl it was on the blueprints BUT there is a cover that goes on top of the PC with only about a 2cm clearing! So there would no chance of fitting all them wires in there Yeah i did a crash course in electronic engineering a wile back :booya:
