New Grower OXOSSI RULES OK!!! -First time grow with new LED, Auto mazaar, Afghan Kush & Diesel Ryder

if your gonna listen to anyone, make it muddy. he def knows what he's talking about. for instance, it didnt even cross my mind about the LED's, bcuz i dont use them, but i have seen that taking pics under them is a no-no. If i remember correctly, muddy actually uses them-hes the guy to take advice from-everyone is basically good on here though, they are great with helping too. I just know that its muddy's job on this website specifically to help new growers.

HEY Muddy well thats a coincidence, I return from photographing them under normal light (light bulb) after reading about problems such as mine, to find requests for the same thing. Well here we are, comparing them to the previous photos the plants look a little better, or is that wishful thinking?
Now back to the experts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re the Ph meter, I have ordered one already thanks to Red Eyed C,
Muddy I will let you know what the Hydro guy knows when it turns up in a few days although I might go out tomorrow and get a test kit to try and sort out what the problem is asap.
I agree with you about his potential lack of experience with AFs etc but it was only the Ph level of the water and its effect on the soil, also I have never been in such a small packed shop lol there are always at least 5 or 6 customers (all cannabis growers) in there and always helpful and chatting with each other and no one contradicted the advice. But anyway ................point taken!!!

alot of the time you do have to watch out for the hydro guy, i know what muddy was talking about. the first guy i went to acted like he knew everything, when he just wanted to sell me a bunch of stuff i really didnt need..really got me mad, and ill NEVER go there again. Just beware what advice they give you, alot of it has motives in mind. The advice you get on here is purely driven by the love of growing, with no benefits other than seeing the progression and final product of what youve been helping out with. This site is the bomb dizzle!

Certainly something going on with them. We know that your soil has sufficient nutrients to feed them at this time so it must be the pH. It must have been far off from the beginning. I assume you've still got more of the soil. Put some in a pot and use that for testing when you get the test kit. Once we see where it's at we'll see what we can do for the plants. Test both your water and the run off from the test pot.

Your hydro guy sounds on the up and up.

Ph test

well the water (left for 24 hours) came in at 7.2 and the run-off as shown in the picture came in at 6.2 which I think rules out a Ph problem.
Looking at the plants the yellow seems to be going, on the AK it seems to have gone to the edges with green now being the colour of the centre of the leaves
And the AM seems to be more green too, at the base of the leaves. I will take some more photos tonight to compare and contrast

so here is the latest state of play on my two jaundiced babies

yeah bud, i think its as simple as overwatering..even watering a little every once in a while can be too much for these little babies. that soil has enuf moisture to hold it over for at least a week, maybe 10 days even. as i stated before, i know its hard, trust me, but you just have to leave them be and everything will be just fine..they already seem to be looking a little better.

Yes, the pH is fine and the AN nutes should work great with it. If it were a N deficiency the yellowing would have started at the end of the leafs and worked in. But given the worm castings in your mix I wouldn't expect a N deficiency this early. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at this point we know your soil and pH are good, and you have only feed plain water, no nutrients. How close is your light to the top of the seedlings?

Muddy, its still 21" away from the tops of the plant as you suggested, it has had no water since the yellowing occurred and before that it recieved some of the vitalink and was probably overwatered. One of my major concerns was that it may be the light, having read in another forum that someone had had a similar problem with a 600w version of my light, but as it only effected two plants I presume that it is something else. Thanks everyone for all your help it has made things so much less stressful for me and in the last few days it has been quite stressful enough.
