New Grower OXOSSI RULES OK!!! -First time grow with new LED, Auto mazaar, Afghan Kush & Diesel Ryder

@growdawg,
I dont have a Ph pen, the Ph of the water is 7.2 and the light mix has a Ph of 6.2, which would give me a Ph of 6.7 (according to the owner of the local hydro shop)
and as I am using AN sensi grow and bloom perfect balance there should be no problems there.
As it is the light mix I think it might need nutes sooner than the third week, but I am sure someone will throw some light on the subject before too long.

So after a week this is the state of play, I have just been trying out my new macro lens option on my Nikon DSLR, rather wasted at the moment, but hopefully by the time they are ready to harvest I will be more au fait with the intricacies of photography.

You really do need to get a good pH meter, it's pretty much a must have. Even if the hydro guy is correct, which I doubt, 6.7 is a bit too high. 6.3 or 6.4 would be much better. You should be checking the pH of your feeding solution and setting it to about 6.3 before you feed. I assume you got the regular Sensi A and B, and not the new pH Perfect ones? If so, they will lower the pH of your feeding solution some so again, it should be checked and balanced before feeding.

With the Sensi what they recommend, the 4 ml, is for each part. So 4 ml of both A and B for a full strength feeding. Your Lite Mix soil does contain worm castings, so should be providing sufficient N for veg growth the first couple week. I probably wouldn't feed them till they are about 15 or 16 days old, and then with only 1 ml each of A and B.

Also, how high above the plant is your light?

Thanks for the reply Muddy,
I was going to buy one of those paper and solution Ph testers, just to be sure, when I can visit the Hydro shop after the Easter Bank Holiday, the hydro store owner was a professional gardener for 20 years before opening his shop so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
I have got the new Ph perfect sensi grow & bloom as that is what he had in stock so I shall wait till monday week before starting them on the Nutes
Do you think that I would be better getting one of the electronic ones, would it be worth the extra expense if i am going to use Ph perfect products?
My humidity has dipped again and is now hovering around the high 30s to the low 40s so it looks like a humiidifier will be needed
My light is 21 " above the plants as suggested

cheers Red, just ordered it, thank you for the pointer as to where to purchase a worthwhile one

No worries mate,you can't go wrong with a hanna tester and those ones don't blow a hole in your wallet :D

Hey you mention 4ml of each mixed into what quantity of water? How big is 4 ml in teaspoons anyway.

Before you shell out the cash for a humidifier, you might try an open widemouth jar of H20 in your growroom, even better if you can add an airstone and have the H20 bubbling. I think you will be surprised at just how much moisture you can add to you grow area with just that low tech solution.
