New Grower Mephisto GWK, 4AM, Bubbly Livers, AvT in Coco

DAY 29 -

I’m working with what I’ve got and using best practices to the best of my knowledge even though my plants are stunted. Looking forward to grow [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] to use what I’ve learned so far. Still trying to spread them out with LST.

GWK - I broke her main cola off while tying her down, taped it up and it looks healthy enough but I’m afraid to tie it down again so I’m just working on the secondaries.

Finding it difficult to LST the smaller plants due to their compact structure. I might clip a few leaves to help open them up. I’m not sure what to expect from all of these as far as product goes. I know that bending them over does nothing for height but they’re all quite short now. I’m considering running the same variety on my second grow to see how much I can improve on my first grow.

Thanks for looking in, any advice would be appreciated. Do I continue to LST these plants or just let them grow on their own at this point?
dude imho I would continue the LST...you have brought it this far!!..and don't be afraid to chop a few leaves lol.....if you are worried about chopping too many....think of the leaves like solar panels....each tip needs at least one leaf and if its catchin light, as opposed to shaded, then its in use and chop the shaded one....hope this helps :smiley1:

DAY 30 -

Quick update: Defoliated all 4 plants this morning. The GWK repair after breaking the main cola worked but was not perfect when I set it in place and has a gap in the shape of a wedge but everything above is still green. Retied all the plants to open them up and watered to runoff. GWK grew a lot since yesterday.

Thanks for the advice. I tried to follow the solar panel theory and clipped probably 50 leaves from the 4 plants.

I hope it worked well for you dude :d5: another trick I sometimes do is take 3 leaves, then turn the pot 90°, take 3 more, turn again, take 3 more, turn again and so forth.....until I am happy I have taken enough....this helps me when I get a bit chop-happy lol  I have over taken leaves in just one place before(due to being stoned):baked: and ended up with a big ugly hole in the canopy....Happy Growing bro:smiley1:

DAY 35 - Plants are doing well enough. A little nute burn after the last feed so I’ve backed off the nutes a bit.

Bubbly Livers - is a pain in the @ss, it’s very compact and bushy. I’ve been defoliating regularly as it’s only just showing signs of preflower. Opened it up a lot today but the pic is prior to LST and defol.

AvT - coming along after I broke her main cola tying too tight. I actually crazy glued it back in place and it’s still alive today.

GWK- into preflower now. It looks like f@cking Frankenstein after breaking her main cola last week. I couldn’t LST her main after that so half the plant is tall and half the plant is short....Darnit!!

If anyone needs advice on breaking or stunting their plants, let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

Plants look healthy bro. Going to have buds to harvest for sure. Maybe you're not happy with height and some bushiness going on but this is classic learning by trial and error. And you're really not make a lot of errors given how healthy the plants look, which is the biggest part of growing in a sense. Since they look healthy like that you know you're getting some key elements right or close to right.

Thanks brother, grow [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] will be better. I’ve learned a ton so far thanks to you and many others here. I had intentions of following a schedule but I’ve kind of just been winging it and watching how the plants respond. Might be a little steep on Nitrogen. I didn’t know the Calmag I bought also has nitrogen so the plants are getting a lot of it right now.
