Yup airy buds do tend to press well there’s more surface area for trichomes dense buds don’t always press well but sometimes they do. I don’t have a problem with airy buds for the most part the dense buds worry me more I’ve had more of them mold before I even get to harvest cause they get so thick and dense
The thing is, for me, this is the time of year to grow dense flower cuz I can keep my grow room in the mid 70's. Last year all my main colas had some mold during my mid summer grow.
I'ts funny, when I first started I just grew what Frank was growing and never had a problem with larfy plants for the most part. I got to go back to some of his old threads and make a list lol. Seems like half of what I pick turns to shit.

Yeah most the time that’s when it happens to me too. That’s why this year I’m planing on pausing for a month or so. So I’m not harvesting during peak humidity

I think you may have just got lucky cause I’m pretty sure lot of those were the first time for him too and highly doubt he picked them cause of bud density.

Out of curiosity is it the same MC formula you’ve been using since the start? I know they changed it again in the last year or so and added more N

Yea,MC 1 part, sweet candy, kelp etc.I don't know cuz I bought a shit tons worth. I basically just copied Franks recipe.Since I switched to hydro, MC 1 part was kinda a messy in the rez,but it still worked good.

This last grow I'm using jacks 321 along with their bloom, finish and kelp at 80%. I think it's similar to MC 2 part but less ph stable I come to find out. So I may switch back to MC 2 part.I dunno.

I’ve been running mc 2 part for awhile now with MOG ‘s calculator to make the balance and always have issues. Just recently switched to flora flex nutes and couldn’t be happier. I still have a bunch of mc 2 part I’ll use up on photos but my autos are going to be getting floraflex nutes

what was wrong with the label recommendations on dosage? I want to start using it but am apprehensive and may just stick with Fox Farm. It seems like you have to use their whole line for the ratios to work out and i like the variety of supplements ive been using for years and im weary to switch it up. It seems like alot of people seem to think it has way too much nitrogen for flower i think im just gonna use it for veg cause its so cheap, and flower with the fox farm nutes that i like and trust.

Thanks, maybe I'll just stick with jacks then. Been pretty happy with the 2 I've grown with it so far.

Doing anything outdoors this year? How bout you KR?

Yeah I almost switched to Jacks also you should be able to follow MOG's last autoflower schedules for that too the 321 is just like the original mc 2 part should be the same NPK ratios. If I remember correctly I remember him saying he could substitute in jacks if needed for MC and still use his calculator. MC switched that too couple years ago now and added more N to the part a

No I did OD one year and didn't have a good spot for it ended up molding on me. I live right in town with neighbors on all sides I don't want it right out in the open plus I don't think you can so I just stick to indoor. If I had a better location for sure would grow outside :headbang:
