New Grower Mephisto GWK, 4AM, Bubbly Livers, AvT in Coco

DAY 76

Plants are still kicking. I won’t have any of those monster buds from these plants but I’m happy with their development and I’ve almost got them to the end without killing them. There’s a fair amount of larfy buds on a couple of them which I think is a result of my lack of proper defoliation and trimming. However, there is a considerable amount of frost on them and some good funk to enjoy.

I’ve been checking trichomes and I’m seeing lots of clear and some amber but not much for cloudy. I’m not sure what to make of that but I get the feeling they are approaching the end. No fading yet on any of them but AvT appears to be lightening in colour on the bottom half of the leaves.

4AM

AvT - fluffy buds but very frosty. I know this is not genetic.

GWK - likely to finish first.

Nice work getting this far, you may want a few more weeks on anything that is fluffy. I've found the last 2 weeks on any strain they double in size. My new way of checking is if the buds are nobby looking. Still a very nice run wouldn't have guessed it was your first.

:slap:

Fantastic job! Very colorful buds!
Thanks @FullAuto245 I had no idea when I started growing these just how different each strain looks, smells, and behaves. I really like the off colour strains as a novelty but I love the different smells these plants give off. The only issue I have is even with a carbon filter and exhausting outside, these things are still stinking up my house!! It’s too cold to run the fan full time so it cycles on a thermostat which allows some funk to build up.

Thanks @STILLSMOKIN There’s so much to learn about these plants. I love watching them develop. Up until I started this grow I had never seen a cannabis plant in flower. The closest I got to that was growing a couple of bagseed photos in my buddy’s closet back in high school. I know now that those plants would never have flowered!! However, they were about 4 ft tall grown under normal incandescent lights in dirt we picked up from outside his bedroom window (amended with vomit from too much partying). An accomplishment to some degree. Lol.

DAY 81 -

I thought I’d throw in a midweek update. My plants stink (as does everyone else’s). I love the smell but I don’t really need to have it engulfing my house even though they are in the garage and vented outside from the grow tent. I have ordered a 4” inline fan and carbon filter for the garage. I’ll install a wye duct connector to vent it out with the other fan inside the tent. My hope is to keep the garage in a slightly negative pressure as it’s now in positive pressure compared to the rest of the house.

Anyway, I’m still checking trichomes to initiate a flush. Plants are looking pretty good but I don’t think I have completely stopped the Calmag deficiency in the Bubbly Livers (rusty spots on leaves) but it still keeps chugging. I’m not too concerned about it as I’m sure the plants will be ready for flush in the next couple of weeks.

4AM - I’m really impressed with this little plant. She is the smallest, stunted but also a smaller plant genetically, at only 12” tall and 16” wide. However, her colas are stacking up well and as they do she opens up a little more. It’s hard to see in the pic but most of her colas are stacking up about 8” long and they are really dense. She has not had a deficiency yet and just keeps doing her thing. The only issue I’ve had with her has been LST due to my newbness and her compact and bushy growth.

AvT - a bit larfy, but lots of frost on her Pinesol self. I’ll be using her for oil mostly I think.

GWK - go baby go!!! I love this plant! I have seen a number of growers dropping GWK lately and I just can’t see how anyone can go wrong with her. If I can fumble my way to growing this then anyone can. I don’t doubt that in the hands of an experienced grower she would be amazing. Super frosty, very nice smell, not a ton of foliage, dense buds, and a decent size at 26” tall. I’ve had to tie her colas in so they don’t flop over.

Nice job! Drop temps for less odor, i find 70 the best. Also brings out purple.

you're killing it bro! Looking fantastic. Its not really all that easy at the end of flower for everyone. Lots including mine look crispy. Yours are looking great.

brilliant job man, thought i'd replied to these pics sooner - magic first grow :weed::wiz:

i can tell you still haven't come around to the Bubbly Livers :hump: hopefully you'll find her more appealing following dry and cure - have you got a plan for harvest? buds look pretty solid on this lady too?
4AM looks lovely mate, thick old trunk on her by the looks of it.
AvT - i'd describe my Ripley's as larfy also except for the uppermost buds perhaps. Pinesol is similar to how mine smells so i guess you got a pretty Alien leaning pheno.
GWK looks incredible and i'm super excited to have one myself after watching yours unfold - fruity? kushy? sithy? :jointman:
