Lighting MedGrower does HS1 grow - Mazar (Photosensitive / DWC)

No bro I haven't. Truth is that I've tried foliar spraying two times and both times I just ended causing some horrible spots on the leaves. Last time I had rhizotonic in tapwater because it was adviced it could promote sidenode growth. Well... idea sounded nice and good but the result was sad :(

I am scared to try anything like that again.. As far as the EC goes I just maintain it there for now and see. I would imagine their appetite will rise soon.

Oh man... Do not let your hands down! Try much weaker solution, use distilled water, do more research. Just do not give up trying, foliar feed is really good thig and even helps to prevent some problems :)

DAY 20

All going good so far. Girls are staying rather short and dense as they should, a little bit dark green so I thought I will keep the nutrient feed as it is. It would be logical that they start to eat more nutes soon so I won't be toning the feed down either.

I did the topping on day 17 and they are recovering now. It kinda seems that I might have done some sort of fimming to them since I see there might be more colas coming up than just those two from the sides. Well... all the better I guess :) I also installed some active carbon sheets cut to those 5cm passive air intake holes I drilled. Now the damn cathair should stop creeping into the growspace.

Comparing the colour of the leaves with how I can see them with my eyes in person and to the picture of the camera, these photos show the leaves to be a little more lighter green than they actually are. I do not know how to optimize the colour response of a camera to match that of the real thing. Keep that in mind while viewing the pictures below.

EC 0,8
pH 6.1
RH 55
Temperature: 28.4 C / 26.1 C (DAY / NIGHT) = DIF 2.2

Canna Aqua Vega 24ml (approx. 1 ml/l)
Canna Rhizotonic 42ml (2 ml/l)
Canna Cannazyme 45ml (approx. 2 ml/l)
Essentials+ Silicone 60ml (approx. 3 ml/l)
GHE Diamond Nectar 30ml (approx. 1,5 ml/l)

That air intake I mentioned about: (I see it already has some hair trapped into it!)

Excellent bro they are looking super strong and happy, the stems have quadrupled in size...all shaping up nicely bro, keep them that happy for a couple of weeks and you will be ready to flip.

Thanks! Yeah it seems that supplementing with silicone at the early part really makes a huge difference with the strength of the stems. I am thinking of vegging them for another week at least and as those nodes starts to emerge from the top, going to start LST so we can get better light to lower nodes too. I just hope I wont break any stems like I did last time :)

Sorry for the douple post but I was thinking about general stuff about foliar feeding and before I try something stupid, could someone advice me on these questions?

- I studied the matter and arrived into an understanding that the pH of the foliar feed -solution should be set between 6.2 to 7.0. Is this right? Would it be most safe to set somewhere like pH 6.6?

- I may or may not be able to find a good enough sprayer to really atomize the foliar spray good so using of a wetting agent on my foliar feed might be wise. I see people have said you can use dish soap. I have one without any perfumes or nothing other added. Would you advice using that?

- I noticed that CANNA Boost can be used as a foliar spray also. But I thought you shouldn't use foliar spraying at the flowering stage? WTF? Do your guys really spray you buds with stuff in their early stages or what? I am confused.

I was mainly thinking of experimenting with foliar feeds of rhizotonic, magnesium and canna boost in future but I am not sure if thats a good idea or not.

Here is what i think about it. There may be another positions too!
- PH is not so important, if you use good water. I like to use only distilled water for this, as then i exactly know what my plant is getting by foliar feed and there are no residues on leaves, which appears after tap water usage. Distilled water is always 7, so you may lower ir a bit with nutes you are using, but it is just perfect to usage then.
- Never used any agents. From all available sprinklers i have chosen depleted 100 ml deodorant bottle sprayer (plastic one, it could be refilled many times). it gives super nice mist, just what need. 50ml of mix is more than enough for giving shower for one plant. Just clean it very well before and make sure that it is free of chemicals it had before, this is really important. Have not seen any better sprayer :D
I recommend to foliar feed with magnesium for the beginning. Just make sure to begin with tiny doses and rise it while you find sweet spot. Cant recommend dosage, as i use salt of magnesium sulphate and know by eye, how much i need for foliar spray. You could start to do it and see for your self, how plant reacts.
Bro, try to bend top fan leaves a bit. Under them there are all that these plants have to offer, and if you will not give light to that spots - you will not be able to take all of that offered :D

Thanks for all the help man! Idea would be to allow more light under those top leaves I understand? I see if I can just bend them so I wouldn't need to cut them off.

Exactly, cut of only those leaves which you can not normally bend. All new nodes MUST get plenty of light, if you want to get monsters out of these :)

Ok bro I got them leaves bend now. Got the leftie to bend with rubber bands, rightie there had those large leafs that I think will lodge on the sides of the lower nodes. I did cut couple of the little fan leaves from the sides to allow more light in.

Thanks for the advice! I am excited to look forward for the results!
