Oh ya the factory one was actually all corroded so i replaced it the other day when trying to diagnose what was going on! Pretty sure its the auto zone alternator being a bitch cuz every once in a while after driving a long distance it comes up saying check charge system and alternator and battery are both new and all the connections are solid so assume its under or over charging thats happening! Last time it happened to me in case it was undercharging i turned ac off and drove right up the street to auto zone but everything tested fine for them but the car had been shut off between the warning and test cuz they hook computer up while car is turned off so could also be why it no longer showed warning by that time!

And pretty sure i have mentioned it already but i never got this warning til after alternator was changed and only changed that cuz it was starting to squeak internally and wasn’t gonna wait til it went out and left me or my mom stranded! I need to get my ford focus fixed but wanna make sure parents car is good to go first so i know my mom is safe to drive it!

I thought this was gonna be the issue and after changing it my mom went to dallas and back without issue but once home i left 15min later and made it 10min up the street and it was back on!

plug/harness that plugs into the alternator seem ok? Almost sounds like a broken wire or whacky connections somewhere. Or loose belt. That shit can drive ya nuts.
