I just let my plants starve up until now! I give em good soil at the start then they are on their own! Rarely works out tho so getting megacrop now! Using earthbox so i need something safe to go into a reservoir for a few days potentially! How do you feed now? This question confuses me. How have you ph’d your nutes before? Advanced nutrients ph perfect?
When I was using rainwater I noticed that a tiny amount of pH Lower made a huge difference in pH. I suppose it's true for RO water too. This is RO water from the walmart dispenser and is usually mid 6’s and 10-30ppm! I go to the next town over cuz they are fancy and rich and have a good water source! The shit at the grocery store less than 10min up the street is on same source as my house so mid 7’s+!
I have a quart of ph down i bought like 3yrs ago and maybe used an 1/4 ounce out of it! It was phosphoric acid I believe and took about 6 or 7 tiny drops to lower ph almost a whole point! It wasn’t consistent tho! Some times the same 7 drops would only move it half that amount so got aggravating! When I was using rainwater I noticed that a tiny amount of pH Lower made a huge difference in pH. I follow the feeding instructions on the MegaCrop website pretty much, except they go to up to 6 g/GL and I stop at 5 g/GL. But I'm in coco watering to runoff every day. I don't know what the dose would be for soil to prevent mineral salts buildup.I just let my plants starve up until now! I give em good soil at the start then they are on their own! I buy it but the quart. It's consistent. But it's very touchy if you're only making small amountsI have a quart of ph down i bought like 3yrs ago and maybe used an 1/4 ounce out of it!
