It's actually really good. It's just that most of the stuff that I cook in it generally makes the house smell good all day when I make it in a dutch oven. So it does work great but the house will only smell good after it's done

I made a big batch of cornbread yesterday, by my Wichita Falls grandma's recipe. I use plain yogurt instead of buttermilk (cheaper and richer). And a pot of frijoles moros (Cuban black beans). I never tried a crockpot, still cooking with natural gas.

Plus you can just dump some frozen chicken pieces, frozen veggies, stock…..and come back to a meal in thirty or so minutes….. a little corn starch at the end to tighten up the gravy….
