In the UK..they charge £2 tax per Gallon of fuel..roughly.. before you buy it...then 20% Tax on top of that....... gotta go somewhere huh...?...

Guess it could be worse….could be like Canada where they sell fuel by the liter not the gallon! And a liter there is about same cost as a gallon here!

If you peg out in the UK...the assets you leave are subject to death duty/inheritance tax.

If I was rich and left a house/business/cash worth a million quid to the kids....it would be subject to tax...afore they could get their grubby little hands on it.....

If I was rich and left a Million quid Farm to the kids...it would Not be subject to inheritance tax...they have been exempt...up to now.




If I was rich and had a good accountant...he'd tell me to go buy a big farm...to avoid my money being subject to death duties when I die.....

Here in USA yr inheritance is not taxed if you give it away while you're still living (up to 7M). But then if you live longer then you thought I guess you're screwed, or at the mercy of your kids.

Reminds me of a story an old Hasidic cellmate told me about a king's exchequer in the olden days. The princes were jealous of the exchequer's wealth, and accused him of stealing from the king. He was called before the king to account for all his assets. He listed only what he had given to the orphanage and many other charities. The king was surprised and asked why he only listed what he had given away. The exchequer explained that what he had given away was his true net worth, because anything else that he possessed the king could take away any time at a moments notice. The king was impressed with the exchequer's wisdom and trusted him even more to manage all his gold. He rebuked his sons, the wicked princes, for falsely accusing the wise exchequer.

We have pretty dry cold generally so I'm fine with a jacket and a hat if I keep moving even if it's like -25. At -40 I order a plane ticket. Screw this.

Fun fact: -40⁰ Celsius is the same as -40⁰ Farenheit. Too ducking cold either way.

Not holding my breath, but some interesting points. Trump was in support of Amendment 3 in Florida.

Yeah, that was all DeSantis. He had all ways voted against the legal CBD weed industry. When he and his group saw through polling the CBD guys were going to be voting for it and they were going to win by about 63%/64% He cut a special deal To give them special status and soften the laws against it. He also got them to give his PAC 100k for an ad blitz that was full of lies for the last month. So they were able to steal the CBD voters who at best would be voting legalize and at worst not bother voting. They need to get him up into congress because I won't be voting for him again.
