When you take a bunch of microscope pics before you chop but they don't save for whatever reason. :cuss: Thankfully even with my terrible vision I could see this girl was *ready* to go!

Got like about 1/3 the way through trimming her last night. Hubs fell asleep playing his game while I was at it, then woke up with a start and was like "holy shit its after 5!" can you say hyperfocus? I'll have to finish later today since Saturday means its dance/baseball/craziness day lmfao.

Your on the right track although I think you are putting to much emphasis on the light. You need an auto flower with a long veg period. I have never gotten that big but could have in theory I was growing a seedstockers blackberry gum and it veged for almost two months.(i have grown this strain multiple times was usually on about 30). I ended up hacking half of her down so she did not take the tent over( that still pulled 600ish grams if I remember right). Dutch passion has a couple as well lime daquiri(I think that's the name) maybe. Go with the ones that have long total harvest times and sometime you get a girl that will just take her time. If you get the structure the weight will be there. A powerful light alone is just not enough.
:yeahthat: Well said…..all of my biggest autos have gone 100+ days

Yep, definitely go with plants that are listed as large with high yields and long estimated grow times if this is your goal. Genetics of the plant are going to be the real determining factor here, you could be the best grower in the world but you can't make a plant grow beyond its genetic potential. Find genetics that suit what you want and then dial in your grow style and environment to help those plants reach the limits of that potential.

I'm the opposite, I intentionally picked strains that are meant to be small and fast, but still produce good yields. I like variety, so if I can choose between one gigantic plant or 4+ small plants in my 2x2 the small plants will win any day of the week. I also like being able to stagger harvests, since as @420Forever likes to tease me about, I'm pretty particular with my trimming, and a gigantic plant would probably take me a week or more to trim considering my 62g trimmed and dried Somango took me four days to trim lmao.

I agree @AJrexxx a long veg time is certainly one requirement. Dutch Passion do a few XXL strains that go a bit longer.... Daiquiri Lime, Glueberry OG, AutoUltimate and one pheno of Night Queen for sure (cheers @DCLXVI for the shout out Bro!). If you can still get them, Dinafem's Blue Amnesia and White Widow XXL are huge yielders too.
I also believe ANY fiddling from germination through to week 4 will stunt the growth, so no paper towels, topping or even LST.... just staking out to allow full light penetration, and some leaf tucking.
Where I've fallen short on some of my big ones is feeding. In coco I could have fed 3-4 times a day but alas only manage 1-2 a day, but more feeds would have made them even bigger.
Lights are also important, a minimum of 400W LED Skyline, but my big ones have often flourished under 800W or more LED.
So @MikaelAndréasSöderberg good luck mate, I reckon it can be done, and as you say... DWC, plenty of light, the correct pheno that can handle and use all the light, a perfect dialed in plant, grower and enviroment... you WILL get over a kilo. Tag me in whatever you do Bro.

Nice strain. I grew a Blackberry gum once in autopot and coco, she turned out great despite that i didn't know how to read plants/her. Learned throughout the grow.

You have a photo of your plant? Its a beautiful strain.

Thanks for sharing bro

At minimum, if I can pull an oz per plant once a month I'm happy, as that's about how much we go through. I pulled 4.72 from my first 4 girls, so that plus hopefully another oz or so per plant from my 4 girls that are finishing up outside right now will give me plenty buffer (and then some lmao) between now and when my perpetual is ready to start pulling from (first 2 girls are showing hairs already so we should be starting flower again soon).

Out of Control.jpg

That was grown on a 3x3 DIY light that pulls may 200 something watts from the wall.
