Vaped a bowl of the Somango last night and then tried to make that chicken marsala. Hubby thought he'd be "helpful" when I pulled out the one breast and put the other in and lifted up the cast iron. I ended up panicking cause I didn't know what was happening and dropped the breast into the pan. Cue olive oil/butter splashing both of us. I've got a burn on my nose that blistered and popped immediately, one on the corner of my eye, my wrist, and the top of my foot. He got splashed across the top of his arm.

He tried to help again later when I was seasoning the potatoes and I gave him *the look* and told him if I wanted help I would ask for it.

Around me, the grocery stores hide the good stuff in the mexican aisle...damn USDA and their corn-based food pyramid!
Why is it that the spices on the "international food" aisle are always half as much and twice the volume of the spices on the spice aisle? And why the hell would anyone *not* buy the ones on the international aisle?

What you really want to do is go to the bulk section of your grocery store if they have one alot shut down because of people being afraid of covid. They have organic spices not microwaved. They do alot of stuff to spices you want to get the highest quality you can just like with weed most food isn't as great and people don't realize until they had better. But anyway enough rambling lol. The bulk section is way cheaper costs under a buck to fill up a organic 4dollar spice jar you can buy nuts rice flour dried fruit etc as little as you need just tare a jar or use a bag. That's what I'd recommend. Way better deal then buying a bag off the shelf.

The phone apps tend to be hit-or-miss depending on the app, your camera, and your light. Photone sounds like it's the most accurate. But even then - they're best used for rough differences between spots, not actual / accurate PPFD levels.

But, if you are actually low - you can extend the light hours a bit to make up for it.

Thank you for your answer KDawg.
Im running the lights 24/7 allready and imo they look good, so what would the difference be growth-wise?

If you got the Photone App it needs to be calibrated. You need to find the PPFD specifications from your light Manufacturer. Tell the app the type of light you have and enter the PPFD info from the vendor. After that it will be fairly accurate, at least it is for me.

DLI is a better measure than just the PPFD and you really want 1000 PPFD or at least 38 DLI as a minimum. DLI can be utilized up to a maximum of 60 DLI per day.

Thanks Mañ'O'Green. With the numbers beeing so high, dont i need more co2 for the plants to grow faster?
I get 29DLI with my phone, if i went to 33-34 i think the light would hurt/burn them, thats why i dont understand why/how they need that much light.

Could the lack of co2 be the reason?

If your actual DLI is 29 now and you can raise it to 33-34, that should help your plants some. Not hugely, but definitely in the right direction, provided that your other factors are in line. Cannabis can handle up to ~60 or so, so whether or not your app is super accurate, you are almost certainly still in the range where more is better.

You are nowhere near the point where fiddling with CO2 will help. In any case, unless your tent/lung room is tightly sealed, adding CO2 does not work well anyway.

Good luck with it. :pighug:

Hey Olderfart :smokeout:

Okey. I will try push some more light to the girls and watch the leafs closely. Trying 34DLI.

Thank you very much.

They don't "need" that much light - it's just that they can make use it. Cannabis doesn't "plateau" at higher PPF/DLI like other plants. It does become less efficient and uses more water, but it can still utilize the extra light.

Not all Dr Pepper is made with sugar! That’s why it’s the good stuff! Used to be called Dublin Dr Pepper and was only in glass bottles but lil while back started doing it in cans too!
Dr Pepper pulled Dublin's license. I used to get a case when I was in the area................ Mainly when we went fishing at Lake Proctor for barndoor crappie.
