When my daughters got married, the advice i gave my new son-inlaws was to always apologize immediately, that way they will be talking to you again within 24-72 hours. Nobody cares who was right or wrong, be smart.

me and my girl aren't married but we have been together for 13 years and lived together for 10 and have a 2 year old so pretty much married. And yes I find myself having to do this all the time, it's so much easier this way. Why didn't I do it sooner..
