Funny, cinnamon and wood glue are the go to fix for desert roses and recommended when you you trim.
I used to coat my hands in elmer's glue , just to peel it off, ofcourse that was before bubble wrap.
 
Here are my gnarly looking ladies. Weirdest phosphate uptake issue I have ever seen. Threw my question down in the infirmary and have been hanging around there helping folks out hoping someone had an idea. They'll finish out before this kills the plant, but the not knowing is driving me absolutely insane.

I replied in the infirmary also but too me that looks like too much N to me.. The leaves looks to be clawing and at one point waxy
