I saw Northern Lights near Rose Blanche, Newfoundland in 1969. We didn't know what it was. It looked like a striated mist rising out of the marsh-berry bogs, but the closer you got to it the farther away it was. We were pretty high I suppose. A local finally clued us in to what it was.
I got a great view of the northern lights from the cockpit of a plane I was on in the middle of the night…. We took off from Ireland in the middle of the night, headed for the Middle East…..I was wandering around the plane looking for something to eat and saw the cockpit door was open so I stuck my head inside to crack a joke or two (military flight)….. and there was this spectacular scene splayed out in front of the plane….. absolutely beautiful, on a clear night, at a high altitude.. my dumbass had no clue what they were :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :pass:

Good afternoon @Mossy :bighug: :pass:
Good morning everyone :bow:🌞
Mornin' Pinky

Morning Kittens. :smokeit: Day starting pretty well for all of you I hope. We had a hell of a storm come through early morning or so the wife says, I slept right through it and nothing seems out of place outside.....so no problem.
Hows things, Bill

Thanks Bill :pass: :bighug:

Been having a tough time so avoiding bringing the grumps here! All good today, just fed up with moaning and enjoying the sun!

Hope you're well - good to see the AFN ship still sailing nicely with the regulars!

:pighug::vibe::vibe::vibe:
Howdy stranger :)
