I really enjoy fishing the river below lake cumberland. Its pretty swift. I'd just freeline a small treble hook with 3 of those powerbait eggs on it, one through each hook. Let the current take it and every so often just stop your line and feel if there is something there. I can't find any pics, but I caught a bunch of nice trout doing that. It was like 110* out and 99% humidity, and I was standing knee deep in 40* F water coming out from 150' below the dam.

I always float fish for trout basically bobber fishing I don’t lift/snag fish.

then it didn't happen :nono: .........jus sayin :coffee: ppp

That’s why I’m saying you need to get up to the big lake pretty sure I’ve heard Erie is very similar to Ontario in that regard. Here’s one of my biggest one just over 16lbs

From what I've seen it is shoulder to shoulder on those creeks. Non stop tangling with other anglers. I've driven past a few times on my way to Michigan to go to the dispensary and I've seen it. You gotta know somewhere to go, and I don't, lol.

This is the biggest non-catfish fish that I've caught locally.

7lb Sauger out of a local river below a spillway for a lake.

Fucker had NASTY teeth, and it was still thrashing after being on ice for an hour. Before I tried to filet it, I smashed its head with a hammer a couple times.
