I used to set pins in a bowling alley when I was a young lad with more time than money. Set a perfect 5 pin game one time. I also learned to bail out of my normal waiting spot for one dude. His balls usually only hit the deck about half way down the alley, and arrived at about ninety miles an hour. You never knew where his pins would end up - usually with some serious power behind them. More than one of us pin boys got nailed by him.
Amazing what young lads will do for a bit of cash.

Oh do I know had my share of scares in machines while people are bowling. We had pinsetters but they were old and broke down a lot so I got to set plenty of pins by hand
