I grew my last grow entirely on Poland Springs spring water and it did great, the only time I have had problems is using RO and distilled water, LOL. Your buddies problem was simply understanding how to water a plant in soil, you do not water the plant, you water the soil and the soil provides for the plant.
My buddy that grows stopped using RO and switch to bottle spring water and swears its made a night and day difference.. I have notcied a huge difference in my grow just blending my RO with tap water

I’ve been using arrowhead spring water going on 6 years now. Let me tell ya, those folks know their water…..and maintain their filters etc. In the time I’ve been using it, there’s never been one time that their water was subpar. I can’t say that for those bullshit water machines in front of Walmart etc. Who knows who maintains those systems.

Mine is maintained regularly (mainly cuz idiots break it somehow) so my bottled water from the machine in walmart is always between 4-16ppm! For $.39 a gallon!

I'm in small pots but I'll probably only water mine maybe twice a week for 1st 2 or 3 weeks. They'll get multiple small feedings daily after a month. These are 5 days old have been fed once at day 3 and will get it again at day 9 or 10

Yeah so we do it similar think mine are a touch smaller:gassy::face: They got feed to 20% runoff 300 ppm Sunday night and plan on feeding tonight making feed now actually :pass:

Pretty sure he is using Poland spring I go threw too much for bottled water... He only grows 3-4 plants max

I have too lol. I'm saying he wasn't using enough water. Because he was paying money for the grab and go bottles and using way too little water. Did you use a one gallon Poland springs or a tiny bottle and think it was enough

Yeah, I was sorta commenting on how it’s good to use water from some big corporate place like Poland, arrowhead, etc… :pass: You know, big companies, lotsa employees whose sole job is to maintain quality…
