If coco dries out, water slowly with some yucca wait a few and water a little more etc. Or you can use another wetting agent. Peat is the one that is really hydrophobic.
@Lil Dab, @Frank the Dank did a write up on his watering program in one of his grow threads. He said he's changed it a little but still works. I do something similar in 5 gallon pots. He uses pro mix, but I use canna coco brick, but works.
Durban x zamadelica maybe?@Frank the Dank, your watering write was in your grow thread with a Zamal or Malawi plant thread??? Stoner memory....
Durban x zamadelica maybe?
I have a log cabin up on the mtn and it still uses a outhouse, fun times during the winter when we stay up there to ice fish and party all night, dress up warmly and then get out there and sit on a ice cold seat......lol
When I would mix the nutrients the PPMs did not match what I was shooting for because the formula was for 12 gallons and I was actually putting 14 in the container, so I fixed that. In some previous runs I was looking to see what the minimum N would do to a grow. I have learned I was going to low, so in order to bump up the N I needed to adjust the other nutrients to keep the balance I want. so yes I have been all over the map but look at the results now.Oh thank you much appreciated I thought I had the new one with the larger rez but this is a different one again seems you change that more then I change my underwear
I use Yucca powder throughout the grow to keep that from happening in my rock wool, it also helps to keep the drippers clean."They" say that if coco dries out it becomes hydrophobic, in other words water runs off it like a duck. So if it dries out you could get parts of the pot that stay dry no mater how much you water it. The only way you'd know is after harvest if you take apart the root ball.
