Sweet Seeds Killernecrox's Second Grow | Fast Bud #2 |140W Led & 5L Airpot

I am thinking of another possible mistake is : I am totally new to air pot and first i assembled them up following the video(instructional video teaching how to use air pots) and i filled the pot with my medium. Thing is the video said to pack it in as much as possible so i pushed the soil down and added more soil and continued till it was full. Maybe this was partly the reason ? But the video said to push it down and make it compact because the air pots gives plenty of air flow.

Yes, given that the soil looks itself already a bit hard and heavy, if you packed it until it became very compact and added more soil, that is something that the plants do not appreciate. One can give it a slight adjustment, packing it very slightly if the soil is very light and airy, but no more than that...

That's something you should change in your next try.

Do you think i should change my LED to my 60w daylight cfl ?

I was also thinking of culling one of them and starting a new grow. Would that be better ?

Changing the LED for a CFL right now will not save them or make them start growing faster. If it was a HPS then maybe it would make a difference. I have 2 LED panels of 30w each and I prefer much more to use a 100wHPS. I think I even prefer my 70wHPS kit to the LED option. I keep the LEDs for summer time, when it's very hot and it's very hard to use HPS.

About if you should cut one of them my opinion is that you should not give up just on one of them. If I was in your position and I had the seeds, I'd germinate them now and in 1 or 2 weeks I would make a new evaluation and decide.

Good luck. Keep us updated ;)

Yep on my next try i will definitely not pack it down so tightly.

Why won't changing the LED for a CFL won't make them have normal growth ?

The thing is i have wasted 3 seeds already and it costs a lot for the seeds. Another thing is i don't have extra pots to grow in so it's either i cull one of them and empty the soil and replace it and making sure it's not compacted. Or just let both of them live on hoping for a miracle. I am wondering is the time spent worth it keeping them or replacing em.

One more mistake which i concluded. I am suppose to go 30 inches for seedling till day 8 but i didn't have enough height so i guess it was around 26 inches. Does the 4 inches affect that ?

Hi again!

I said: "Changing the LED for a CFL right now will not save them or make them start growing faster."

If it will make them have anormal growth is another story. Maybe it will, we never know, I just doubt they can be saved to have a normal life as autoflowering plants, even if you used HPS now, so of course I also doubt the CFL will save them for you. Of course they will live on, and the CFL may help a bit, but I don't think it will make them grow to 20 or 30cm tall and only then, with a good structure, start flowering.

But if you don't mind waiting a bit more to see what happens, then wait and in that case... why not changing to CFL? ...it's always good to try any change in this case...

Kind regards,

tommy

I think i'm just gonna stick with led till week 4 and let you guys see the progression of the new growth. It seems to be progressing on even though it's still mini. If by then you guys think the grow is still slow I will switch to cfl and see if it helps.

Once again, thank you for checking in on me and helping out mate :Sharing One:

Thank you for being around.

All the best and keep us updated ;)

Hey a question. Do you guys constantly see new growth everyday on your plant like it's really obvious ? How do you even define that your plant is growing "slow" ?

I honestly feel that the reason why it is so slow is because i packed the soil down really tightly and also instead of starting at 30 inches for seedlings i started at 26 inches because i don't have enough height.

I am gonna water now and take a few pictures and show you the progress. Please tell me if the time spent for the yield is worth it to keep or should i just start over.

I have decided to cull both of them. This second grow journal will end here as uncompleted. The soil was really too tightly packed as i used a pencil and tried poking through and it was hard as fuck. Pretty pissed i have wasted so many seeds and so much time...
