Day 39: Muchachas. Day 36: Forum Stomper + Strawberry Nuggets x Pink Panama
  • Well, I may have gone a little overboard on defol for the Muchacha #2 and Forum Stomper. Gonna leave the other two alone and see how these two react. Definitely more light to the bud sites and airflow, just hope i didn't go too far. I've seen signs of calcium deficiency. Im assuming its lockout due to salt buildup lowering the ph in the bottom of the pot. I need to lookup the chart but maybe too much N also locks out calcium. Ive washed the trays and given just rainwater ph 6.6, 45ppm. Boredom and anxiety may have gotten the better of me today. Oh well, time will tell how they weather the stress. Thanks for stopping by!

Day 40: Muchachas. Day 37: Forum Stomper +Strawberry Nuggets x Pink Panama
  • Update from earlier posts:
Things looks okay. Not seeing any noticeable progression of deficiency. SNxPP looks like it has perked up a little bit. Will probably give them each just a small amount to sunof rainwater to get them through to Sunday when I can get my ph issue figured out. I will add Nectar for the Gods Yucca Extrsct to the watering on Sunday and see how it goes. Thanks for following along, and for all the advice!

    Day 41/38 (Morning)
  • Morning Temp: 77° Humidity: 63%
    Just waking up here:
    20220730_171318.jpg

Not seeing any more progression of deficiency, but the leaves that were affected are starting to yellow. I split a gallon of rainwater between them to help them through until tomorrow when i can get accurate ph readings. Muchahcas are behind the Mephistos in development, haven't seen much action for a few days on either. They are supposed to take around 2 weeks longer than the Mephistos so it may make sense. Forum Stomper already has some nice tight buds forming.

In other news, I aggravated my fractured left foot (broke last September and didn't heal properly). Not that bad but I can't walk on it for long before it starts aching. I'm in a boot for now... fingers crossed no surgery... may have to move the grow to the main level, or just rethink it. Autopots and a RO system sounding real good right about now, lol. Hope ya have a nice weekend. Thanks for dropping by!

Day 42: Muchachas. Day: 39: Forum Stomper + Strawberry Nuggets x Pink Panama
  • Day/Night Temp: 79/72. Humidity: 65/63%

Got the ph meter in today and fed each about .75 gallons of 50/50 RO+Rainwater with 30ml/gallon Nectar for the Gods yucca extract. I noticed the plants sucked up the water much more quickly and the moisture distributed more evenly around the root zone of the pots. Could just be bias because its something I just bought, but it took them less than 15 minutes to soak up all they wanted vs 30+ before.
Everything seems to be going fine. Still no noticeable progression of the deficiency. The Mephistos are starting to fatten up their buds. Again, could be bias, but Strawberry Nuggets×Pink Panama smelled distinctly of strawberries today when i stuck my face up to the main cola! Its got some red stems that its shown from a young age, would be cool if that showed up in the flower. It looks like the sativa dominant Panama, smells like the strawberry nuggets?! Can't hate that! It is however still showing signs of N Tox or maybe just light stress from consistently growing to about 6" below the light, no matter how i adjust it. Hoping the Muchachas start really turing onto flowering, but they're looking pretty healthy.

  • Day/Night Temp: 77°/71° Humidity: 63/68%

Cleared out some lower growth on SNxPP to open up some airflow today (Definitely has a sweet/fresh berry scent).
Probably will do the same on Muchacha #1 in the next few days. I want to wait until its more solidly into flower... don't know if there's any advantage/disadvantage, just kinda playing around with things as i go and watching how the plants react.
Muchacha #2 I'm happy with, just waiting for both of them to start packing in buds. They really want to be big ol bushes.
Forum Stomper is looking like its gonna be nothing but thick nugs. Can't wait to get this stuff to harvest!

This is technically just before lights out on day 43/40, but wanted to update. I took a bag of Promix premium organic, watered with rainwater phd to 6.4+ yucca extract, mixed in some mosquito dunks, and put a 1/2" layer on the top of each pot and slightly mixed with the dry top layer of soil. Then up covered the pots with straw mulch.
Hoping this encourages a healthier ecosystem in that top layer. At the very least, its nicer to look at than dry soil! Thanks for following along!
Edit: also noticed that the plants stopped 'praying' about an hour before lights off. Gonna transition to 19/5 and maybe 18/6 over the next week or so.

    Light: FCE4800 12" @ 100% 19/5 hr cycle
Water: .5 gal each per day

We've got frost on the Mephistos @ 43 days! The Muchachas are starting to form buds, but maybe showing some more signs of deficiency? Slighly yellowing, not sure if its from before, natural from the beginning of flower, or something new (or nothing at all). Just gonna keep an eye on it for now. They some seem unhealthy in general, so not worried. Pretty stoked on seeing frost!
