I’d use earthboxes for living soil they are cheaper

Also what does it mean when you see like
F1 or f3 when it comes to seeds?
Which is the best

The higher the number the high the generation of the strain F3 and higher should start seeing more and more uniform growth across multiple plants

One earth box is 40$
I get 4 of the Vivosun bases for 60$
UNless unread it wrong

Earthboxes are the easiest method for the beginner to have a successful grow.
Earthbox Jrs for smaller Autos and the Regular Earthbox for the larger girls.
Grow media..... BAS 3.0
Compost......... Coast Of Maine Lobster
Earth worm castings........ I use my own. Build A Soil has some good local sourced that is much higher nutritional value than big box store, but less than my own......just use more.
BAS Craft Blend
BAS Build A Bloom

Two top dressings.................first at pot up and second 10-14 into flower...............that easy!

I thought bas had all the nutes already and only needed phed water ,maybe some flowering nutes toward the end?

What do you mean by top dressings?
At pot up, so when I first plant?
Will that not be to hot?

Thanks for taking the time to help me as well, I've had a few grows in the past, so not totally green but things change so much....lol

Yeah I missed the 4 pack part I’d still go with earthboxes over those cause you still need to buy and maintain grow bags with the bases. I loved it when I switch to the EB the plastic containers are so much easier to clean after a grow. That being said folks do like those bases I’ve seen them around just never used them personally

That’s what the top dressing does give it the flower boost it needs.

Top dressing is applying dry organic fertilizers to the top of the pot.

No they take time to break down and be available so they need to be applied ahead of time

Listen to everything WildBill has to say he taught me a lot/most of what I know about living soil
