This plant was apparently only fed shilijit? Hard to believe… but its not impossible. Whats your opinion?

Those are supposed to be human supplements and plant fertilizer at the same time? No npk? I wouldn't go near it. Less is more sometimes :pass:

I dont believe anything stated by companies trying to sell a product. And the buds dont look impressive enough to switch nutrient lines. Dont get me wrong they look like they were grown okay. But nothing special that good plant care and knowledge can produce. Dont buy into company hype, you will waste your money.

Im considering how to get the most out of my plants. I can reduce the photosynthetic stress on the plant by providing every building block (nutrition, co2, etc) and by decreasing free radical damage (glycine, fulvic acid).

Water, base nutrition, and CO2 is giving the plant the ability to assemble carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen into macromolecules to further the plants growth.

Most of the plant is carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. So I’m considering alternative carbon sources that I can give the plant. Big Bud is a popular product, and it’s well known to give visually bigger increase in yields. Why? Because it contains amino acids. And what are amino acids? Mostly carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. and what does the plant do with these amino acids? It converts them into organic molecules that, without amino acid supplementation, the plants sole carbon source would have to be from CO2.

I dont think oxygen, hydrogen, or nitrogen are a limiting factor. It’s mostly carbon. But amino acids provide all of them and they’re building blocks for something that the plants would’ve had to build through other means.

Im definitely not considering running shilijit instead of nutes. I think that’s pretty absurd. It’s well known what exactly plants need. Sure, maybe it can get some of that from Shilijit.. I’m more curious about what other people’s thoughts were.

I’ve actually added it to my nutrition. But it wasn’t because of this article that something I’ve known about for a long time and I wanted to use and I don’t use this company‘s line.

I’m using big bud right now, for about 2 weeks early to mid flower
