Hey everyone, brand new to the site and growing in general. I am putting together a 4'x4'x7' grow tent and have a few quick questions about the setup I am thinking of building. There is alot of information out there and everyone seems to have varrying opinions, to a degree. So I'm hoping to get some of my questions answered here. I completely apologize if these questions seem newbish but I really want to do this right so I'm trying to cover all ground for the best harvest (if any at all lol).

First off, the setup I wish to go with

Roughly 4'x4'x7 Grow Tent'-

iPower 6" inline fan w/Carbon Filter

600W Apollo Horiculture dimable HPS MH Light with Gull Wing Hood

So there is the general setup I would like to go with. It comes out to around $400-500 depending on the fluctuating prices. So here are my questions.

1. Is this setup or any parts of this setup overkill or underkill for 4-6 autoflower plants?

2. Does my booster fan need to be the same size as my inline fan? (Ex.6" Inline with 6" booster)

3. Is there anything else missing from this setup that I forgot to add? (I am picking up a oscilating fan and temp/humidy reader)

4.Would it be easier to grow in Coco with that setup or organic soil? Full hydro isn't an option at this pont.

Any help is appretiated. I am trying to stay on a budget of $400-600 so if you guys have suggestions to save me some cash or future proof myself whilst staying in the budget, let me know. Thanks guys and please be patient with me. Brand new but doing research as best as possible. It is quite overwhelming. Especially with every grower having different methods that work for them.

Get a better light then Apollo check out vivosun on ebay. I would get a cool tube or something you can run your carbon scrubber threw you with have heat issues with the gull wing. Every thing else is good. Trust me the extra 30 or 50 bucks will save you alot of headaches.

Thanks for the response! The Vivosun does look much better than the Apollo in terms of build. That ballast looks nice and sturdy compared to it also. Will I need to switch lights at some point during the grow cycle with that one still?

Yes you run the mh bulb till 4 or 5 weeks into the grow its a veg bulb. Then switch to the hps for flower. You get great results with the dual spectrum. You can even just get the carbon scrubber and run 2 inline duct fans to cool the light and scrub the air save 60 bucks on that big ass fan. Inline duct fans are like 240 cfmx2 would be 440 cfm that's what most 6 inch carbon scrubbers require. Its all how much u wanna save but definitely dont cheap out on the reflector for your grow.

This is kinda what you would be getting but I have a cool tube. All vivosun tho never had a problem with this setup. It runs flawlessly.

Awesome. That does look very simple. So x2 inline duct fans will give me the same results as that 6" inline and save me $60? Sounds like a win win to me.
