After a quick light defol!
Looking Good @KingRatt ! Check out all those tops! After a quick light defol!View attachment 1723175
Its so the leaves cast less of a shadow but can still photosynthsize light. Basically to expose budsites and still keep working, i will eventually get to taking them off probably, defoliation is a constant when you scrog. I try to keep the leaves as long as possible. I have a method kind of where i start by taking the third leaf down from the top on each branch, as they grow new leaves i will trim the second pair a few days after removing the set from under, if that makes sense lol. It lets me keep the leaves on the plants a little longer and keeps me from having to take as much at a time. I feel like the plant doesnt get hit as hard each time. As im not in hydro, i cannot afford amy down time recovering from stress!Hey KingRatt, I noticed you trim those larger leaves down instead of taking them off completely. I havn't tried that before, I assume this technique stresses the plant less while still retaining some part of the solar panels? Is it to help with humidity in the tent or to expose lower bud sites for get more light penetration down in there?
Cool! Thanks for explaining that for me! I absolutely agree with you there on avoiding down time recovering from stress. Your canopy is looking stunning my friend! Its so the leaves cast less of a shadow but can still photosynthsize light. Same technique is pretty common when taking clones as well, less transpiration so the plants save their energy and use it for root growth!Hey KingRatt, I noticed you trim those larger leaves down instead of taking them off completely.
