I bought a super badass setup pulled nose expenses for the Spyderco SE 4500 and a 4x2 and went with the 4-in duct fan which is vastly inadequate. So I doubled that up and with two of them and it was still inadequate so I don't went the third Pusher fan (also a 4-in cheapy Amazon fan that runs at about 200 CFM) and it finally seen some adequacy.

I'm just sayn
I would just like to recommend to shoppers get a 6 fan & spider farmer recommend their 6-in fans for a4x2 tent and se4500 lamp.

Presuming you are referring to the Spider Farmer SE4500, with its fairly current Samsung LM301B LEDs, high efficiency/PPE (2.8 umol/J) and with all that exhaust fan action there shouldn't be as much heating of the tent as you describe.

The air being drawn in needs to be cooler than the tent air. What is the temp. of the air being drawn into the tent? Do you exhaust the hot air into the same room vs. outside? If it's summer/hot where you are, you need to be using an air conditioner.

I realize this is an older thread…

The light that the OP purchased is the most likely first version of the SE4500. That light had a 430 watt driver and it put out a huge amount of light. I was planning on buying the light to replace my Growcraft X3 which has a 330 watt driver. I feed my plants >=1kµmol and the SE4500 has a far superior light output and PPFD map than the Growcraft.

Unfortunately, Spider changed the driver on the SE and G4500 lights. They gelded the light by dropping the 430 watt driver with a 330 watt driver. My suspicion is that there were at least two reasons - at 430 watts, the light can put out >1500µmol at 12" and I suspect that growers were turning up the dimmer too much, giving their plants too much light, and then calling Spider. Second, a 430 watt driver is more expensive than the 330 watt driver. By using the 330 watt driver, the light would be better suited to a wider range of growers and, second, they could bump their profit margin.

The V1 light was great for growers who add CO2 or for growers who otherwise want a very high output light. The newer model, with the 330 watt driver, is a good product. It has a slightly better spectrum than the V1 and it generates a decent amount of light so it will definitely get the job done.
