Indoor GreenBean's Grows

Thanks for reps as well, @hecno !

Decided that the next run will be the aforementioned Double Grape (ABOUT TIME, had the seeds FOREVER!) and Rocbud Raspberry Runtz.

First time running a Roc and I only have one seed for 3 different strains from a trade w/ a buddy. So let's hope it pops. If not then I will pop another Roc.

I think at this stage of my growing game and experiments: No topping, a little more canopy management, some lollipop. So....basically my standard thing, minus the topping. Which, after years of topping...I think I am done with it. Not necessary if you do a decent job with LST and even then, LST needed is minimal. Bend them over, let them go. Open the canopy as needed.

Let's See What Happens.

I'm gonna be busy for a bit, but these 2 plants have about 1-2 more days and then choparoo. I will try to get some photos before I cut them down. If not, I will definitely be weighing them after they are dried and cured. I want to see the yields vs my normal grows where I manipulate the canopies more. I'm curious to see if the theory of "they will give you what they will give you, just distributed differently across the plant" thing holds out. So I will definitely be posting weights. Though I am positive I will be back on here long before that. I've just got some bearing down to do on work things here. Getting ready to launch that second shirt brand and site. So that is going to be a brute to deal with.

Also wanted to point out, and I doubt anyone took it this way. But the way that I do things...mostly it's all me experimenting...trying to find some type of "consistent" method to grow these autos. It's not me trying to preach some gospel.

If I say that I am probably not going to top any more. It's just based on my mad scientist experiments in the past vs the culmination of results over the years. That isn't meant to say that YOU, or anyone else, shouldn't top your plants. Or try crazy LST, or whatever.

Matter of fact, I think YOU SHOULD. I think a lot of times in this community, or any gardening community, people just stick to the "gospel" too much. And for whatever reason, are just unwilling to try things. Learn the basics first, grow some veggies, see how plants react. Plants are plants. After that, just go crazy, have FUN. See what works for you.

If I hadn't done dumb shit, like topping a plant in the first week, or whatever. I wouldn't have come to the conclusions that I have.

If I don't ever try doing "wacky" stuff (according to experts) like feeding autos, photo strength nute solutions, I wouldn't have come to the conclusions I have.

If I didn't start making my own DIY coco mix...I wouldn't have figured out that I can just feed them once a day, even skip a day here and there and still get big yields.

The lights I use, co2 bags and yeast bombs? All of that stuff just experiments to see what I could, or couldn't, or shouldn't do to get a consistent end result.

Do it your way. Have fun. See what happens!

This whole thread is just me doing that and sharing along the way.

Hey, had a question. I have come to the conclusion that I will likely not use my 4x4 setup for years. I just don't have the space here at the new place. It's sort of a shame because my current 4x4 setup was only used for one flower run. Didn't even veg in it.

A 4x4 Gorilla Lite Line, 4 bar Atreum light system, 8" AC Inf filter, heavy duty metal inline fan, AC Infinity ducting, 12" oscillating fan with pole mount, High CFM bars - 2 sets. I mean, it's like an as new complete setup sitting here. I may be forgetting stuff too.

Anyway, anyone aware of a marketplace for interested parties for such stuff? I mean, aside from the usual? Just a shot in the dark. Because this stuff is going to waste here, really. And maybe there's someone local-ish that is looking for something like this.

I mentor a family that's looking to start growing next month in WNY, and will need to accumulate all the appropriate gear. If you're not too far I'll bring them to you to make the deal.

I dunno if we are even allowed to talk about these things. I'm REALLY far from you. Like as far away in the USA as you can get - I think. NY to Los Angeles is corner to corner. BUT, if they are interested, I might be open to shipping. I wouldn't ship the extractor fan though, that is the huge 8" fan that is metal and weighs a ton and mounts outside the tent to a good wall. Carbon filter might suck too?

You've seen the grow - that was the Sherb, Sage, and Strawberry Nuggets grow with the Alien Moonrocks. So the stuff will work. DM me if you think it might be a thing and we can go from there. Maybe even the light and tent? The other accessories can be had anywhere I guess.

Yeah, lemme know they can check my reputation on my business site and such. Ebay as well. Maybe even just the light even.

But I only thought of it today in my shop. I have 3 tents. My other 4x2 I converted into a portable dark room to store my coated screens in so they don't get exposed to light and are sorta climate controlled = sorta genius if you ask me.

And then I was like...man. I have this setup that is really nice. And I can't use it. So there you have it.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to drop in real quick. I'm going to shut things down for awhile.

I didn't mention it previously, but we had yet another one of our rescue dogs pass away a couple weeks ago. This was another sudden one.

If you've kept track that is 3 dogs we have lost over the past 13 months. 2 out of the blue, and one due to old age = he was 20 so that was "acceptable".

I tried to push through all of this stuff. But it gets rough sometimes. We do it to give these dogs a good home, and we have lost a number of dogs over the years. But this current streak is sorta unbearable.

Here's the kicker. We have another girl, and she has pancreatitis and gallstones and cushing's disease. And she's in the animal hospital right now. She'll be coming home tomorrow, but her time is limited. She's a 6 lb dog.

So at the stage of possibly losing a fourth dog. And trying to run one business and start a second one. My latest harvest is essentially ruined. With all of the chaos, and trying to get work done, I didn't have the time to trim and bag these 2 plants. They're sitting at 40RH and really only good for extraction at this stage.

So, I think at this point, I just have to stop for a bit. Take care of stuff around here. Business. And my wife and I are under extreme stress. Like I feel almost like I could stroke out at any time really. So we need to take care of ourselves.

Anyway, I will be back again at some point. This post isn't meant to make anyone feel bad for me. Just wanted to explain why I am likely not going to be around for a bit. But I will try to pop in from time to time.
