Indoor GreenBean's Grows

Anyway, I will be back again at some point. This post isn't meant to make anyone feel bad for me. Just wanted to explain why I am likely not going to be around for a bit. But I will try to pop in from time to time.
Hey @GreenBean - best of luck and sending positive energy your way friend.

Good luck brother. Take care of yourself. Hopefully see you back soon.
Hey @GreenBean - best of luck and sending positive energy your way friend.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It has been absolutely brutal this past year+. I'm not a religious guy, but I do believe in the zen of things. I feel like we are cursed, literally found the earth bound version of Hell, or something. We have done rescue for a long time. My wife is heavily involved in a local rescue too. Part of the purpose of the new shirt brand is to donate a % of proceeds to random rescues too. So it is a very important venture for me. My other shirt brand does well enough, but those of you who know, know that it is a little more dark and spicy for mass consumption.

Point to that = We've had 8 dogs at one time, I think that was the most at once. Some were ours, and some were fosters. Point being, you never know what you are getting with these dogs. A lot of times they ARE dumped due to med issues and you don't see those issues pop up again for years. But we have never had a run of deaths like this ever. We always have 3-4 permanent rescues. We have gone from 5 to 2 in 13 months. We haven't taken in another foster yet because the vet bills lately are almost $50K! No fooling.

Recent death was Pepe. I love them all but he was special. One day, out of the blue, he wasn't feeling well a couple weeks ago. Took him in, they had to do emergency surgery. Turns out is intestines were literally in a ball from possibly 3-4 past surgeries. Nobody knew about the previous surgeries. The previous owners just couldn't handle the bills and dumped him. They did the surgery he pulled through and then died of heart failure that night. Still can't believe it.

Last night - my wife takes care of 2 stray cats that live on our porch. She feeds them, gives them flea meds, even got them a little wooden house for when it's cold. Looked at our security footage today and 2 coyotes grabbed one of the cats and ran off with her. It is insane.

I'm very torn on my growing hobby. It provides a distraction for me. But I do not need more product. I have shit stuffed and stored to last forever. So, even though I know it is a distraction, I do not know if it is a good one for me, or a bad one, right now. Or if I should not have ANY distractions for awhile. I give a lot of product away. I dunno. I'm confused about stuff right now.

With the coyote thing on top of the rescue dogs, I told my wife that was it. Time to grind harder and we are getting out of Los Angeles.

Hey everyone. Hope you’re all doing well. Things over here are finally improving a bit. Finally got the dog rescue shirt site up and running. Here’s a link to it: https://bertstshirts.com/

And I’m starting on a new experiment now. Trying to see how hard we can push an auto outdoors using Floraflex. Haven’t decided on 5 or 7 gallon yet. But let’s see what happens! I’ll be transplanting this one into its final home. Started in a 1/4 gallon fabric pot. Today is day two. Orange Sherbet because apparently they like Xtra hot. Last time I ran this indoors it yielded 22oz. So it’s going to be an interesting comparison.

Day 20 on the outdoor grow. She’s getting about 14 hours of daylight per day about now. Settled on a 5 gallon pot. Other than the fact that she looks more like a 14 day old plant in a tent, she’s doing great. And behaving like a normal auto. She’s on full strength Floraflex now. 3g each of V1/2. I have added a little silica this week.

The fact that she looks about a week younger vs an indoor grow makes sense. She’s getting 4 hours less light per day. And the light/UV is of varying intensity. Plus she’s dealing with around 50F at night, and highs lately of at most 70F. I’m interested in seeing what happens when the temps and light intensity increase. Let’s see what happens….

Hi everyone!

I’m still alive just super busy over here. A kind member reached out and asked me to pop in. Let me tell you that life has been nuts. We lost ANOTHER DOG last week. We have lost 4 of our 5 rescues over 18 months. Can you imagine? Talk about timing. Everything lined up perfectly to create an absolute hellscape. But we are pushing through. We gave the dogs great lives. Their time just came in an unfortunate manner.

Day 45 on the outdoor Sherb grow! She’s obviously behind a tent grow. But you know what? I’m enjoying not futzing around in a tent. Sunlight is free too!

I’ve trained her sorta like an indoor grow and she’s getting ready to flower and stretch. Obviously not as big as my previous indoor grows, but let’s see what happens once she really starts to flower.

It’s interesting. Because I would have thought that she would have flowered already. But she seems to be holding off until the conditions are right.
