New Grower First Grow : Short Stuff Onyx, CFL, Rubbermaid

Those little ones are definitely sweet as hell. So little and so frosty. I wonder how they'd go in the BOM contest??? I think they're damn cool flwr! :smokebuds:

on the photo seed side of things if you veg for 2-3weeks then switch to flower the time is not much different to an auto get those beans on!

Not much going on. I ordered the grow tent and exhaust fan today. I ordered the same fan that Andy is using with his grows. I am waiting until Nov. 4th to order my Mi-5's. Attitude has an awesome promotion happening that I have to cash in on. I am excited to start more grows in the tent. Hopefully, by the end of Nov I have Mi-5's in the tent. I just need lighting and odds/ends to pick up for the tent. I need to place an order soon for molasses, a pocket microscope, and a small scale.

The two Onyx are growing. The smaller one has a slight smell going. The larger one has hardly any smell. I am looking at a Nov 22-30 harvest date I believe. I can't wait to be self-sufficient enough that I don't have to waste my $$$ buying from dealers.

I do the paper towel method too. Right behind the ps3. Maybe they were too hot or wet. Has to be one of the two as it was starting out a viable seed. The other one had a decent tail, and I planted it. Hopefully, I should see a sprout in a day or two.

personal experience with lr2 seeds and heat, i left my towel above my pc after they had cracked, then they just died. all of them. i assume from the heat, and the heat generated from my ps3 (old original 60gb version, so newer ones probably run cooler) is much greater than my pc, so it very well could be the heat baked them.

also, i didn't read the whole thread yet, but you are using MG soil, which i have heard terrible things about, perhaps you should switch it up?

Thanks Afrikaaner. I switched up soils to Roots Organic. Big difference will never use MG for MJ again. I agree, I was thinking too moist and too much heat for the seeds. Next time I will give it more space from the ps3.

hello flwr.when i first started growing indoors i started with a rubbermaid box kind of like yours.i did alright with it but soon got tired of all the headachs trying to control everything like temps and hieght.your doing the right thing by investing money in a nice grow tent and lights.:thumbs:you will be enjoying your grows alot more and they will be better.it will pay for itself anyways.here's some pic of my old rubbermaid box.
