New Grower First Grow: Organic: Dinafem White Widow, Roadrunner, Critical+2.0 (All Autos)

Man they look really nice, you are doing great.

Thanks Grim ! It is nice to hear that from you..

May I ask a question..

Why the 2 white widows look that much different ? One is shorter but has dense/stuffed leaf/branch structure. The other one got taller, has more buds.
And can I assume that the one with the thinner leaves will have more sativa effect ?

Yeah man you are kinda on the right track. Basically its down to pheno types. Some plants of the exact same strain can have 3-4 pheno types depending on how well the breeder has established the genetics. So even though you have the same strain it can have different traits but infact its still the same. Usually from what i have read the less pheno types a strain has the better it is genetically. Hope that helps man.

Thanks again !

Day 39

Gave them 13ml/L of GO Bio Grow. Couldn't see the runoff actually but it's ok since I'll be switching to flowering nutes 3 days later. That water should be enough for that time. The holes at the bottom of the pots were still kind of dry. I soaked the bottom in nuted water as well. And I've seen some root ends there. Seeing root is good I guess.

Tent is getting crowded. I've been told that this will happen. Even leaf tucking is hard.
Next time definitely there will be only 2 plants at a time in this tent.

Take care.

At this point in the grow will go for scrog or just chop off the lower branches. I'm asking because i don't see light penetration to the lower fan leaves.
I'm also having a tent grow, I would like to know before it happens to me too.
I'm also liking your grow :)

Thanks xasiklas :)

I don't/won't scrog. I'm a newbee but as far as I know scrogging even widens the canopy, which I have to avoid right now. And it is a little late for my plants. But scrog with 2 plants in this tent would be nice and I guess it would give me the same yield.

On the chopping the fan leaves: I've read that I have to avoid any stress, since autoflowers have limited lifetime to recover. So I guess I won't be doing that either.

If any experienced grower advises otherwise, I would appreciate it though.

I hope it helps.

I've seen/sub'bed your thread now and I guess you will have a crowded one too :)

Thank you pisadres. Lets hope a experienced grower will take a glimpse of the thread and shed some light into the matter ^_^

Finally found your grow!! Girls are looking great man. A crowded tent isnt a bad problem to have. Cool avatar pic too my man :peace:

Ive got a first grow going with some Roadrunner right now too, along with some Easy Cheese. At the beginning I had some issues with heat and pH. I got it all fixed and my Easy Cheese bounced right back but the RR is still runty. Just seems like a finicky strain.

Actually I tortured my RR. It was touched and burnt by a cfl light when it was just a couple days old. It survived. Then I spilled lots of nutes on and burnt the leaves. It survived again and doesn't look much worse than others (just a little). You can see it at the right back corner in the last pic. Of course it depends on conditions.
I'm happy with it (maybe because of my low expectations and lack of experience:)

Thanks for stopping by :)

You don't have a journal I guess.
