Do yourself a favour and get a ph pen and calibration fluids. Those kits are not worth the hassle. It will save you big time in the long run.

Also an Ec meter if you do not have.

These are our tools to get the grow on point.

This, at least the ph pen, is on my list of accessories to grab. I kinda wanna keep this attempt with the white widow as idiot proof and simple as possible, and i know that once i get the pen ill start testing everything and ill obsess about all the little details. I will be grabbing a pen, but not just yet.
Now as far as this ec meter you mentioned, no lie, im not sure what that even is lol. Ive seen ec mentioned in a couple journals but i dont think ive ever really paid attention to what it is, what it means, etc.
I got lucky and was given a lot of the stuff im using for this grow. The only real money ive spent so far was on seeds and i bought the fan/filter. The next real investment is going to be some decent lights. Ive been through a bit of afn and i think im ready to jump on the cob train lol.

Hang the filter from the top beam and some zip ties, leaves you all your floor space, do it off to the corner so your light is still able to go all the way to the top

! And in reality im sure i can rig something up to get the lights closer to the top of the tent. Theres probably another 4-6 inches of usable space.

I used steel fishing line with crimp connectors to rig up my own hangers on the posts of the lights, then I used zip ties to secure them to the top post giving me only 2" or so of lost vertical space

This is the good stuff, gettin tips and insight from others!!!! Im gonna smoke some more and think about rigging this up!

Day 9 for the white widow Shes looking good. She got 750ml of recharge water today. Temps and humidity holding steady.
So i pulled the trigger yesterday on 2 lights from the cobshop, and once i get them set up in the new tent ill move ww to her new home for the next couple of months.
I went ahead and dropped a gorilla blue seed in the hopes that by the time she pops up shell be in her new home with the white widow, growing under that sweet sweet cob light!

Day 10 and all is well with lil miss white widow, color is good, leaves feel healthy. Temps are fine, holding between 70-72f. Rh has been a lil wacky, i think its because ive added the other pot to the tent to get the gorilla blue going. Whatever the case, its nothing im worried about. Im sending that positive energy out into the universe, so hopefully this first grow will be fine. Get to the end, smoke a little, and learn a lot!

Day 11 and everything is fine, or is it?!?
Last night i added a quarter inch of coco loco to the 5gal pot with the white widow, to bury the stem a lil and i noticed a thing that(to me) looks out of place.
Just checked on her today and yep, its still there lol. This gal is 11 days above ground can she be showing sex yet? Are the little new growths anything to worry about?
