For me it means hauling water also, my water kills canna, its why I stopped doing DWC, WAY too much waste water to do RO and driving 12 miles to town to haul buckets of water isn't happening either.......... And DWC may give me a bigger yield, but if you look at my current grow, where would I put plants bigger than this???? :smoking:.

Nope, hydro for me is coco in auto pots, and even then, nothing beats growing in a big pot of soil! ( For me anyway )

Come on pop you can do it. Lots of air and pH perfect nutes makes things sooooooo much easier. I promise with my technique it's not like the nightmares of yesteryear trying to keep res temps in check, worrying about pH and all that is virtually eliminated using this tech. Come back to the dark side lol

just started my first dwc and its not going well. got nfts' there aswell wich im sound with but it turns out theyre a lot easier to look after than a bubble bucket. she's only 19 days old and half dead already. : (

Rapid rooters work better than the paper towel method, even if they are more expensive. I've always had day 1 within 3 days or so when using them. Seems to be a day faster than the paper towel method too.
As he said, @derek420colorado is one if the guys to go for when you have dwc problema. A lot of others will too, he held my hand through the last grow and now after that one I learned I need to add calmag and lower the n more rapidly than I did before... Always good thinga to learn when ou still have a good harvest. I was afraid mine wasn't doing so well at one time, but sometimes its as simple as a ph adjustment or a nutrient adjustment.

Thanks! It will be fun, I want a bush again, 100 grams is my goal as always. I'm going for just enough to get me through to the next harvest... But 5 pint jars full of weed is still a sight for me to behold. I even saved some of the best off and put it in the (as Ricky from trailer park boys says) captain's cupboard.

. Once this run is done I might do a soil grow with gbd supersoil with a blue toof in a 3 gallon airpot after flowering this one photo cheese I have. I'm making clonea from the mom and so far they are almost 2 feet. They need bigger pots though, they are in 3in by 3in pots. And yes I mean inches

But let me ad, kudos to those who enjoy it! Grow a monster!

Thanks. Somehow I'm seeming to get an audience. I promise you I'm a bad grower. Look at my other grows to see how bad I am. But some how dwc just allowed my bad skills to look good.

If I could get these results from soil I would. But I've failed at soil every time, I'm going to try it again as I said earlier in my hectic reply to the mini livestoners thread developing (I have no problem with that, I'm excited to see the chatter keep talking. Ill soon have a mini following).


So for me, my goal is to produce dwc bushes and find the best strain and then go on a pheno hunt with as many tyrone specials as I can find and breed the most bushy female I can find to the busyest male I can find in photo then work it out to auto. I'd love to make a strain that's grown to be ultra bushy and stay small enough to fit in a tent my size.
This is all a pipe dream though... And a bit of that tyrone special (that stuff is gonna be amazing soon) talking though. But its a goal.

Thanks, its a crowd now. I'm glad with the yield of the plant. Sour livers just looks amazing, but I'm too worried that my odour control is able to handle such a smelly strain.
If you do get those 3 zips a plant ill have to try it and hope I don't get my odour going out of control.

I put in a six inch carbon filter system just for the Sour Livers. I grew Sour Stompers twice now and my previous system just wasn't doing the job of controlling the smell coming off of those girls. I love smelly pot

Thats probably what I would have to do. Noise is an issue so I was thinking of taking off piping, doing the cheap carbon filter with the pencil cups and making 6 of them each pulling air from a different part of the top if the tent. Kinda like this: -_-_-_

As a noob on my second dwc run: I honestly find it easier than soil. It's much faster for the girls to tell you what's wrong and to correct any issues as opposed to dirt. There can be more babysitting involved but i still stare at em almost everyday anyways..haha
