Mephisto Genetics Canna-Cheese 1:1 medicinal automatics by mephisto

Someone asked me to take a few moments and give them a quick review of how I felt about canna-cheese 1:1 so far, and would I recommend it even though I am just drying this plant now. I still have a long way to go before I can give a final answer. But Here is what I said to them.
"Mephisto did not hype up this strain, they advertised the yields, size and harvest window of the plant true and realistic Showing they aren't peddling a half-assed strain, but a truly pivoting company, Mephisto has shown their work through the power of their newest strain, Canna-Cheese by not just throwing it together and saying "good enough" but by having had it tested through the generations. That being said, you must have a good hand to grow, and a well controlled environment. This may make it harder for new growers to grow this amazing medicinal strain, but once a simple mix of environmental factors are dialed in, the potential of this strain is insurmountable."

She's amazing, ill be posting up the pics in a bit here. some pics of the gal after i tidy her before chop. I'm chopping with white pistils because I go by trichome color and go for 100% cloudy trichomes as I'm of the mind set of trichs over pistils especially when it comes to CBD. So IF you see white pistils everywhere be prepared. But All the trichs are cloudy with about 5-10% amber because I took her past what I consider her prime to give a good idea of what most would be going for even though my normal is 100% cloudy
I also believe that Autos are more potent on the earlier side of harvest. However there is a difference between taking early and too early. I personally cant see the trichs, but the looks of the plant in general and only being 71 days....it looks too early to me tbh. The density and smell/taste might be a little less than desired, but I know you go for effects for your husband. That is what matters most! Personally I would grow 2 next time and take 1 a little longer and 1 earlier to compare the whole plant vs taking later. Doubt 5 to 7 days will add much weight. But it would be good to see if the extra week changes the effects for your hubby, poasibly for night time if takin longer? Glad to see you have one done now to compare future ones to. How is the smell on her btw? Also, when harvesting early expect the buds to dry up more than usual. Your wet weight will be heavier than the dry weight ratio that people use. I never really understood the point of weighing wet material, you dont use wet material and when it is dry it is dry. Weighing wet material is just handling it more and I try not to handle my buds anymore than needed to avoid trichome loss and preserve terpenes. Btw, how do you like that HERBS NOW machine? I might grab 1, @Dabber likes his. Im all for consistent drying. I prefer to wet trim mostly, then hang and then put it in paper bags. Would be nice to trim and be done in a few days. I would still sweat them in a paper bag for a day afterwards if i used Herbsnow dryer. To get the stem moisture to pull out before putting in jars or Grove bags. I need to test my Grove bags. I have some Grape Rolex to put in them once dried. Its hanging on day 3 now. Not ready for papaer bags yet, another day or 2. I use a small tent to dry my material. But with an herbsnow machine i could ditch the tent for drying....which would be usefull. Next time I get paid I think I will grab an herbsnow machine. Peace, slow

I bought a 7 pack that way I can do exactly that, I want to take one longer and see what differences are noticed when grown in tandem but harvested at different days as it can be of help for a lot of people.
I do the wet weight more for show than anything. I tend to estimate 10-15% of the scale weight is what the actual bud will weigh when broken down but you are right it really does mean jack squat and my buds are going to be loose.

I love the herbsnow dryer, for my needs it's perfect. I am able to put a plant in there and have it dried in 3-4 days and have a good product that is smokable and tastes decent like it has a couple week cure started on it. It's nice. For the price you're paying you do have to acknowledge it for what it is though, and if you already have a preference on drying. I'm not sure if this will sway you... It swayed me after I lost a zip to mould from bad drying though and haven't lost any yet on my grows (knock on wood) and the herbs dry well. I plan to buy 2 more and buying the 2 extra trays for the one I own and the 2 new ones. But that won't be until I ever get money again.
The dryer is really for people looking for something that is easy for home growers growing on a smaller scale, but as you see from me, as I'm back up to speed with my grow I am going to need more herbsnow dryers, but they are space savers to me too and my hubby knows how to trim and run it so he can check it. It's really easy to use.
Hope I didn't talk in circles. It's a good product but you'd have to try it to see if it works for you. I love it

The hubby and I did a quick test of half a gram of a 30 hour dried small bud.
While the actual details will come later on. The main outcome was impressive. I took my 0.25g in 1 hit in a 13.6in bong but on the exhale remember distinctly saying "ooohh" in an almost sexually pleasing manner. I then proceeded to cough for about 20 seconds. What followed was what I would describe as one of the most cerebral highs I have had in my entire life lasting about 45 minutes. It was one of the most clear-headed yet highest moments of my life. My hubby also experienced the same coughing fit. For him he stopped for about 5 seconds and started. We were worried he negatively reacted and had a seizure. He then looked at me and said, "yep, this is actually working". We both proceeded to have an insanely fun time. It was odd to be able to get so high yet be functional.... Yet be so damned high.
It will be at least 12-24 hours till it is dry and then my hubby will start smoking it for his daily strain.

The flavors were strong weed, and something I couldn't place. The current drying smell is that of the over riding sickening weed that Donna, Eric, Hyde, Jackie, Fez or Kelso from That 70's Show would pull out of their sock drawer and then take with them on their road trip to mount hump. I imagine they would have smelled something like this and expect shit only to get primo weed just like this.

The smoke itself is a very even-bodied smoke, but when smoked before completely dried and without a cure, will make you cough.

At one point I, being so triggered down memory lane, began imagining in "the circle" in That 70's Show for some reason, just like I was taken back. Like the grim reaper said "Fuck it, let's go for a road trip back in time" and we went on a ride down memory lane. Fez was counting the licks to the center of a lollipop, Kelso was eating Fritos and Hyde found out about a boat powered on sand.
It was a fun fantasy to build, and an impressive plant allowed me to enjoy it

As for the hubby. He said subjectively he had no negative effects

So the dry was about 60 hours in the herbs now dryer.
I weighed it at 100 grams even dry. I had a few stems left and can do a bit better trim on it. So I would subtract about 20 grams of extra weight and bring my total to 80 grams of actual smokeable bud. So I got a good yield.

She absolutely reaks during the dry. And I mean horrible. I never use carbon filters... I wish I had one for that. It was so strong drying I wanted to die choking on the smell literally. Now that it's dry and in the jars, when I open the jar I get this smell of sweet with slight coffee tones.

My hubby told me when dried and smoked it has the taste not of red meat but close, he said it tastes like uncooked beyond meat beef or products like that plus a mix of tofu mixed in with a very large bowl of weed. He said it leaves a coffee tone but he said it left the classic CBD chocolate flavored tone in his nose he has come to associate with HPG's CBD White Widow. (Which is a very good thing).

When my hubby lit a small snap in the bong this morning, the smell was so strong of an electrical fire, I woke up from sleep thinking something caught fire. It was so bad smelling I kicked my hubby out of the house and when smoked you can smell this weed over a mile away when the wind blows. If it wasn't for the fact that this is exactly how the smell has developed on this plant I would think I had screwed it up. This smoke definitely needs to be cured for the smell to potentially develop beyond this insane smell. Now I'm never going to know if it's my hubby smoking or an actual fire

Below are some pics.

I love reading your description of the smell. Can't wait to grow it myself so I can see what I am 'missing'!

Amazing write up and description MissU. I look forward to hearing more about your experience as it starts to cure up. I think you may be one of the only people to harvest a Canna-cheese outside the mephisto circle, so its nice to hear such a positive review about something we spent so much time on. Canna-cheese was 3 years in the making, years of work on the farm, then more work done here in the US to get it ready for release. We hope it can provide serious medical relief to those who need it, but also be a fun strain for the everyday smoker to enjoy. Coffee and meat, sound divine. I hope it provides you and your hubby with some quality meds!!!

just got my order in a few days ago for the canna-cheese. waiting for it to be processed and shipped. will go to the top of the line of my seed list and be thew very next seed I start in the tent when the next space opens up. been looking forward to this since MissU started this thread I saw/heard about this stain. both wife and I feel a good 1:1are the best medicinal strains around.
VERY, VERY, VERY much looking forward to getting this order and getting a c/c 1:1 going :)

Thank you Stan for giving us this chance to use such a great plant. It has been so useful for him so far and I am very glad. It's only been one day but so far everything is good and no problems. It's a good smoke, I think some people misinterpreted parts of my description, it was all positive. I think the final cure will is when we will know what she's really like. Thank you again so much, she was a beauty and so far amazing. I will keep updating this thread as things progress of course :)

It's a good strain from what we have done so far. Good luck!
