Mephisto Genetics Canna-Cheese 1:1 medicinal automatics by mephisto

Well I had fun this morning, I was checking my baby and my damned air pot broke. Luckily it was the bottom that cracked in half while I was lifting her up and I caught it before the root mass became an issue. I was able to stabilize her and move her to a new pot retaining the majority of the root ball. I did notice that the soil was absolutely soaking wet and it wasn't watered for 3 days. All the soil that fell out was packed as hard as a rock, the soil on the side of the pot was jammed so hard I had to pick it out and it was about an inch thick with no roots, the bottom was packed about an inch thick with soil packed too tightly. I definitely packed it in hard as when I went back and checked another pot from a plant I had left in the tent just to see how long it took to dry out and didn't water for the week but had prepped. It too was jammed and no aeration.

I do right here, she had reverted back into veg but it knocked her out of that weird bud formation/weird growth thing she was doing. She has begin flowering now with decent results minus being short due to stunting. My other plants this round are doing fine as they entered flower minus a nch which developed a major deficiency in soik., But minus stunting looks to yield a good ounce still.
I expect my canna-cheese to yield me well and things are on track. I took pictures of some of the odd looking buds forming. She is going very slow. After this soil run I'm back to dwc and as I have 1 canna cheese seed and I'm not sure when mephisto will be back and begin sales of canna-cheese, unless @stan_mephisto can send another seed my way, I am going to hold off growing another immediately after this one as I am growing a sweet n sour in dwc which popped it's head above the rooter yesterday for a yield of something that works decently for the hubby and in case this works well. I will be running a few rounds of dwc in that case as I can also make certain my dwc game is at the top notch to grow the biggest canna-cheese I can if I only have 1 seed left.

My canna-cheese didn't really start any preflowering until recently and entered early flowering only in the last couple days

Another note, the reason I didn't update is because she had basically stalled until about a week ago, and I had broken my foot so I was unable to do a lot of crouching to take photos and I was absent minded so I apologize that no updates occurred, even though it looks like a lot happened in between, it all just happened suddenly in the last week that she just exploded in growth

I know not a lot of pictures are on here, but shes coming along nicely and will be down in a few short days. She is smelling AMAZING and is frosty as can be. I do plan to chop tomorrow with mostly cloudy and some amber trichs at day 71 even though there are many white pistils only because this was transplanted and most if not all the fan leaves have died. She is beautiful and her side colas are all weighing down so heavy they are almost breaking the branches. I can't wait to grow her in DWC what a yield potential

I have planned my chop to coincide with the drop of Meph's drop of Canna-Cheese.
There will be a number of photos coming along here of the grow, how she was and what has happened.
I will give a quick basic run down for everyone who wants to know about canna-cheese 1:1.
She very much has a christmas tree structure as is stated on the site, she is a perfect 1:1 from testing performed on a snipped bud a few days ago.
Be VERY SERIOUS about the temperature of the tent. Going under 25c can bring out colors, BUT it can be detrimental to the plant fast if it goes below 25c in preflower or early in flower. This plant requires a dialed in environment, or at least one that isn't cold. Her sativa side really comes out in that respect.
She ended up being transplanted a bit late, but there were some odd issues I assumed were ph or nute issues, but turned out to be related to cold. Again, BE WATCHFUL OF NIGHT TIME TEMPS! My conclusion has been the best night time growth has been if lights off are no lower than 25C as is advised on their page. Buds can darken easily, but get too col and it just goes kaputski like you have witnessed in this grow.
This plant NEEDS the heat. It LOVES it HOT. I found when I turned up the heat on the plant it got better. I accidentally let the daytime temps in the tent reach 34c for an hour by accident one day and, minus the rapid dehydration of the soil, she was growing like a bat out of hell for that next week after that hot flash.
Her harvest weights will be coming, but the 50-80 grams is realistic, but when they say 50-80, its a very high quality 50-80 grams. Not many stems nor many issues to note from the buds, trimming will be a bit of a pain.
The smell from this plant is out of this world, sometimes major generic marijuana at the beginning, turning to a sweet smell then an overriding raunchy cheesy smell with a slight hint of sweet earth. It's overriding aroma is that of cheese through and through but not that of normal cheese

I went and ordered a 7 seed pack to grow through some in DWC. They are available today, 4/20/2020 https://www.mephistogenetics.com/shop/seeds/medicinal/cannacheese

Harvesting today and photos to come :)

She's amazing, ill be posting up the pics in a bit here. some pics of the gal after i tidy her before chop. I'm chopping with white pistils because I go by trichome color and go for 100% cloudy trichomes as I'm of the mind set of trichs over pistils especially when it comes to CBD. So IF you see white pistils everywhere be prepared. But All the trichs are cloudy with about 5-10% amber because I took her past what I consider her prime to give a good idea of what most would be going for even though my normal is 100% cloudy

Here's a teaser

So here she is, down and chopped. Wet weight, 391g.
I out her in my herbsnow dryer and will be ready to have the hubby tester her (and I'll take a few times) in about 3 days. Since this plant is being grown for my hubby's epilepsy this is going to be a review that will be reported over the coming weeks as we observe how it effects the hubby in the long term.

Trimming this plant can be a bit of a pain as she has a lot of leaves. Some are encrusted in trichs and some are just stuck in there for you to find when you think you're done trimming. She's a beautiful plant with deceiving heavy yet airy buds. Her smell as she just began dry is one of an overriding sweetness, there is no pine or cans smell, nor any cheese smell during harvest, just a sweet almost fruit flavored candy apple dipping sugar.

Here's the photos everyone wants of the harvest. Enjoy them as much as I enjoyed learning her and growing her, and as much as I will continue to enjoy growing her. Again, temps are highly important in growing this plant. Don't let it get too cold
