Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

Would anyone recommend using a dehumidifier with this method as I will have high humidity when drying in the tent. Looking to get 40-45% HR and I'll only be able to get that with a dehumidifier.. Don't know if it will ruin my buds

Well let me explain better.I actually framed in a room about 8 x 14.Bought some 4x8 cheap insulation, bought a oil filled radiator and keep that room at 70 and 50% humidity.Your garage will work if kept shut and somewhat controlled.I orginally just framed the room with 2 bys and just plastic sheeting .
This is also my reloading, gun and fishing den.
And of course my grow room.:gary:

My buds are in bags now at 53% HR when should I check them to see if they're dry and how will I know they dry enough to go in jars? I don't want to over dry them obviously. Hope someone can help

Well in my case i know 4 days for small buds, 5 for big buds.
I put in jars with a hydrometer. Check thruout the first day to overnight
They're usually at 65 to 70.
If 70, let them air dry for 6 hours or so and jar them up again.
Once below 70, your good to go.
You can check around day 3 if you want.
I also just fold over the very top of my bags so the buds have plenty if space in the bag
Thats just how i do it.

Okay nice one man. Yeah I've folded my bags twice so there is plenty of space in the bags! I hope this method helps with taste and smell! Thanks again bro

I put mine in a single layer in the bag, with buds no bigger than golf balls, fold the bag one time near the top and put them in the tent underneath a layer of reflective film (just so the lights don't directly hit the bags). I leave them for four to five days. Then I put them in the jar with Boveda 62. Great taste and perfect moisture content!
