Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

I have used crisp brown bags as PART of my cure since the late sixty's.but just a part. I like to hang the whole plant, minus the leave's until I think it's done,( feeling dry to the touch). then I separate bud from plant and in to brown bags with a caliber in the bag. when the caliber in the bag say's 68%rh then it's into jars, with a caliber in jar, if it stays below 70%rh, I will just burp the jar's over the next week. if the rh go's up then its back in to bag's for another 12 hrs or so, then back to jar's. many years ago it was all hanging and paper bagging. but I have refined it my way for a better cure.

did you hang for any time at all before bagging it ... any idea what the rh is in your drying space ?

I did not hang at all, I probably broke the buds smaller than was necessary but the thought of mold had me a tad uneasy, the RH in the room is low, 40-45% Judging by the way the buds feel I should have checked them this morning and moved them into the curing jar then but it was my first day on a new job and did not want to go in stinking like refer so I let it ride until I got home at about 6pm. But it was a good learning experience. Would you recommend some hang time for the next plant? This batch certainly smells better than any of my outdoor photo harvest's that I hung, they usually had to cure for 2 weeks or so before they smelled ok.

I've never tried drying in a paper bag and I'm scared to ... but I may hang for 3-5 days and then bag part of my next harvest ... keep an eye out for moisture when you jar it ...

yep looks good.
With that small amount of bud in the bag, id check them in a couple days.
I usually fill the entire bottom of the bag.
small buds-3 days, bigger 4, fat mama's 5.
that's around 60 and 50 humidity.

You could have lined the entire bottom of the bag with buds around the same size if you had them.

It was a mini grow it dried got put in jars going on there 3rd day kinda has like a plant almost grassy smell I'm hoping burping bring back my good aromas... cut down my minis like this and there in bags already.. Im just trying trying to get away from smell of grass and hay..

hmmm,never had that happen bagging it, I've done this 9 times now.
The only thing I can say is maybe such a small amount in a big bag ? Temp,humidity.
What was the humidity after jarring ?
Did you sample any and does it taste like grass ?
Did you open the bag a lot, should have left it sealed till day 3. I find the less you open the bag the better.
It should improve as long as your in the range-time will tell.
