I have used crisp brown bags as PART of my cure since the late sixty's.but just a part. I like to hang the whole plant, minus the leave's until I think it's done,( feeling dry to the touch). then I separate bud from plant and in to brown bags with a caliber in the bag. when the caliber in the bag say's 68%rh then it's into jars, with a caliber in jar, if it stays below 70%rh, I will just burp the jar's over the next week. if the rh go's up then its back in to bag's for another 12 hrs or so, then back to jar's. many years ago it was all hanging and paper bagging. but I have refined it my way for a better cure.
I like this, gonna try, always the balance, not too wet, not to dry, thinking more accurate than fondling and smelling for that first faint hint of sour that says "too moist more dry"
First time dried with brown paper bags and the end results were better than hang dry! Five days in a bag was enough for the nugs to feel almost completely dry and then put them to cure in a mason jar for couple of days.
I dunno why but the smell of my weed always ends up the same every time I dry it in a bag. Granted it's the only way I've really tried drying my weed so I can't compare it to anything but I know the smell isn't supposed to be this shitty on every single strain I bag dry. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but any advice is helpful. QQ

I know it's not too dry, if anything I don't let it dry enough lol. Is drying at too high of a temp a "thing"? I do normally dry it at a slightly higher temp since I dry in bags inside of my tent. Though I swear I've dried bags outside of the tent as well but I don't really remember tbh. I'm going to try not drying in my tent next time.
hey all, just a quick one, whats the best temperature that works the best for you when drying in brown bags? ie, not too hot, not too cold? im just curious to see what the overall opinion is, personally I try to keep my area down to 70F, is this too hot tho? maybe a little cooler? Thanks!
