not usually bro, it should smell stronger after sealing up in jars, the moisture will come back, so open those jars once a day for the first couple of weeks to exchange air. That's my own method but each person has his or her own 'unique' way of telling if & when the produce is good.
on the other hand,,Some strains take ages to cure properly, 3 months + easily, some are quicker like the good old cheese, or skunk, so strong the smell and taste is there straight from the bag.
ive dried a blue critical auto to perfection once, smelt lovely, jarred it and within two weeks it tasted like hay
it was burped etc.. all properly, temps were nominal as was the RH,. but yet it changed in the jar.
looked deeper into it and sure enough, 3 months + to cure and get the smell to be the taste.
Hence some growers only stick to a few strains that produce that yummy smell and taste easily and quickly,,,,but then again, some right old stoners keep their weed curing for 6 - 12 months! even longer,.....wow I wish I had patience like that.
