Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

I use all my sugar leaf for joints...tons of CBD and I can smoke and enjoy a full sized cigarette without getting nauseously high. My current stash of Strawberry Cough is damned near morphine level knockout smoke, I let it go like 11 weeks in 12/12, so there's not a clear trichome to be found on the bud. The sugar leaf, however, is less over-ripe and makes a great daytime pain killer!

I was not aware of this. Thank you my girlfriends mother has chronic pain, and I was just about to try to find a pain relieving bud for her cause those medications she gets are baaad.

I do both. I hang to dry for x days. Check and pull off line before the stick snaps. You know when its almost dry then put in paperbags. The smaller buds that are sometimes a little too dry with the big ones that still have stem moisture equalize. The bags are open and I fluff each day for few days to week depending on time of year. Then they stay that way for few weeks I smoke some smell handle to tell me when cure is good then jar some and bag the rest and freeze.

Just so I am understanding, Instead of hanging when chopped, you could, say, cut off branch by branch, trim and snip buds off of the branches and paper bag them straight away? Am I correct? From plant to bag is ok, dependent on RH?

Pretty much, yes. Nothing larger than a golf ball though(Either hang large colas or carefully trim through stalk to downsize). Do not over fill bags(or you run the risk of mould).:2cents: ...works for me! 6-9 days this year(very high humidity, the last few weeks!)as I`d got a hygro meter, all be it `dirt cheap`, seems t`be doing the job. Dropped a boveda in each jar...Sit back and check, now and again :stylez rasta smoke: :peace:

yea, just got a hygrometer today and two boveda packs, one went into my current cure jar and the other will be for my impending harvest. Its in my grow space right now with 75 degrees and 45% rh, I think I remember seeing that is a good range, although berry ryder, can withstand very cold weather. Thanks for the info. Peace.

I dryed my little harvest in brown bags and it was quick. 5 day in 65-70% humidity. But the smell is all gone... :( I'm curios how would the smell install or not after a few days in a jar...

Well some strains have little smell. The bag drying didn't take it away cuz I been doing it for years with dozens of Kinds. I grew some fem mazar from D P and it only had a light smell when alive. I dried it with 8 other strains and they all smell super sweet except the mazar. Bummer cuz I have more than a qp that no bros are gonna want. Guess ill make oil out of it.

had the same issue with smell (or lack thereof) had what I believe to be diesel, which is always stinky.. hung it for about four days then into jar with boveda, been in there almost a month now, no smell except when i burb i will occasionally get a slight waft of goodness. other than that, zero smell. My theory is that i let it hang too long.

thanks for the brown bag tip i will be using it for now on.:grat:
