Yep there is so many ways to make the best setup fit your space and you can easily upgrade as your budget or space grows. I see the new thing to have custom setups that you show off and setups that are not so much crazy efficient but something that looks cool. Like I would love to do a 6 COB light with a custom water cooled setup. I know its kinda overkill and not really efficient but just sounds badass haha

Maybe something like this? Growmau5 is the builder of this beast called the canopy. He considered by many to be the genious behind the cob craze. Check his videos out on YouTube. There is a full series called something like DIY for noobs. LOL

Photo is only running one 3590 Being run but I'm surprised the Mars driver was labeled accurately at 92v cause it did run 2. That means I could run 8 cobs with the cheap drivers in a 600w panel. Would be a 500 dollar light when done and a little strong for the size but all possible.

Wish the drivers were smaller I'd love to hang each cob like a pendant for spot lighting.

Yea ive been watching growmau5 videos for about a year i just never really got interested in diy until my mars panels just failed to do the job and started heavily doing research. I have always liked how his setups are nice and spread out and can be modified really easy.

Yep they work perfeclty for the 5 cxa2530s cool to the touch and about 5-10 degrees cooler than the stock mars 300. The only thing on the new one is I need to check connections and bust out the multimeter I have some flickering in 1 of the series of cobs. So its either connections or possible driver issue. Ill be checking it tonight as I am converting the 3rd one tonight as well.

Well i figured out why i was getting flickering the drivers are different in mars 300w 2 of them have 86v drivers x2 and 1 has 86v and a 110v driver. I swapped out the drivers and used 110v on the 3 cobb side and 86v on 2 cob side with fan. I thought the first one was bright holy shit the one that is driving the cobs correctly is way brighter. So i might redo the other ones with 4 cobs only since running 3 with the 86v drivers are under driving them. What do you guys think would be the best thing to do run 4 only or under power 3 cobs and run 5?

I'd run only 2 cobs per driver, staying safely in the voltage range for the drivers.
